Spirit of Rani began as a precise set of requirements from a sailor who had owned boats before and knew exactly what he wanted: classic lines, short-handed capability, offshore performance, and the comfort to live aboard seriously. Sean McMillan of Spirit Yachts designed her around those requirements. The result is a vessel that has crossed oceans, raced at Antigua Classic Week, and cruised the
Mediterranean, Caribbean, and beyond, largely single-handed, for over a decade.
In 2024 and 2025, her current owner invested over €200,000 returning her to concourse condition. New rod rigging, new Quantum Fusion sails, new Mastervolt battery banks, and a full Awlgrip repaint. She is not a project. She is ready.
2024/2025, Comprehensive refit exceeding €200,000: new rod rigging throughout; new Quantum Fusion mainsail (fully battened) and jib (110%); new Mastervolt AGM service battery bank (4 x 200Ah, 400Ah @ 24v); new 60L stainless steel calorifier; fresh Awlgrip Oyster White hull paint (2 coats lacquer); general systems service and inspection. Yacht assessed as in near-concourse condition following completion of works.
Main engine maintained in accordance with manufacturer’s recommendations throughout the vessel’s operational life. Full records available. Mastervolt generator serviced regularly. Vessel stored ashore during winter periods as part of ongoing care programme. Full maintenance and refit documentation available to serious purchasers upon request.
