Magazzu / Magazzu MX-15 Explorer
The MX-15 Explorer takes the same 15.2-metre hull as the Gran Coupe and reconfigures it for extended-range cruising. Where the Gran Coupe prioritises enclosed saloon living, the Explorer opens the deck plan to favour outdoor seating, additional stowage, and a layout that supports longer time away from port.nnMagazzu builds the hull in hand-laid fibreglass with Hypalon tubes at its Messina facility, applying the same D-Shape tube construction that defines the rest of the MX range. At 4.85 metres beam, the Explorer matches the Gran Coupe for stability and interior volume but trades some enclosed space for deck utility and a more versatile aft platform.nnPerformance mirrors the Gran Coupe specification: up to 50 knots from outboard or sterndrive propulsion rated to 1,800 horsepower, with a 1,000-litre fuel capacity backing credible offshore range. The 350-litre fresh water tank extends time at anchor, and CE Category B certification rates the hull for conditions well beyond coastal sheltering.nnTwenty-four passengers can be carried under the CE rating, and the Explorer’s open layout distributes them more evenly across the deck than a cabin-forward arrangement. Annual production is limited to three hulls, and delivery is expected from 2026. For buyers who want Magazzu’s build quality and MaxiRib performance in a format geared toward adventure rather than harbour-side entertaining, the Explorer is the natural choice.
