When to go: a month-by-month guide to timing a Mediterranean charter.
A data-led view of where the market stands today, built from two years of recorded yacht sales, the live new-build register and current brokerage inventory. By looking at realised transactions alongside the yachts being built and those actively offered for sale, we can see not only where demand has been, but where supply, pricing and buyer activity are moving next. The result is a clearer picture of market depth, value positioning and momentum across different size ranges and segments — helping buyers and owners understand the market in context, rather than through individual asking prices alone.

Within the brokerage market, sellers are markedly more flexible than a year ago. Comparing early 2025 with late 2026, pre-owned yachts are reduced more often, more of them are reduced at all, and the cuts are deeper.

Across the fleet, a yacht retains about 71% of its new price per GT at four to six years and roughly 44% at eleven to fifteen. The steepest fall is early, after which values settle.
Based on SuperYacht Times (SYT) data, accurate as of 24 September 2026, covering brokerage sales recorded 2025 to 2026 (1,433 deals, 932 brokerage), the new-build register and current listings. Price per GT is derived from listed and last-asking prices; devaluation figures are averages within age bands and rest on fewer transactions in lower-volume bands.
