Amels 60
The Amels 60 is a 60-metre semi-custom superyacht from the Amels Limited Editions programme, designed by Espen Oeino with interiors by Harrison Eidsgaard. Built at Damen Yachting in Vlissingen, Netherlands, the Amels 60 offers accommodation for 12 guests in six staterooms, with a crew capacity of 12 plus captain. With a cruising speed of 12 knots and a transatlantic range of 5,000 nautical miles, she is equally suited to Mediterranean seasons and long-range voyaging. The Limited Editions approach means each hull shares a proven platform while allowing owners to customise layout, décor and equipment. With close to 50 Amels yachts in the global fleet, the platform carries a strong resale and charter pedigree.

Twelve knots of cruising speed and five thousand nautical miles of range sound modest until you map the voyages that range unlocks.
The Amels 60 is built for passage-making: twin diesel engines drive her across the Atlantic without a fuel stop, while a top speed of 15.5 knots gives enough margin to adjust arrival times without strain. The steel hull and aluminium superstructure are engineered for Class notation, and the platform has accumulated hundreds of thousands of sea miles across the fleet. Captains praise the predictability: she handles the same in a swell as she does in a flat calm, which is exactly what owners want from a yacht this size.
Espen Oeino drew a profile that balances volume with visual length.
The superstructure rises in gentle tiers, avoiding the slab-sided look that plagues some modern superyachts. Forward, a raised observation lounge gives guests a panoramic view without climbing to the sun deck. Aft, the beach club opens directly to the water through a fold-down transom, creating a seamless connection between interior and sea. The sun deck spans the full beam and carries a pool, bar and dining area, while side decks are wide enough for comfortable passage at sea. Every detail, from the hawse pipes to the tender garage, is resolved into the hull lines rather than bolted on.
Harrison Eidsgaard designs the interiors as a blank canvas, then fills it according to each owner.
The main saloon connects to the formal dining area through an open plan that can seat twelve. A sky lounge on the upper deck provides a more private gathering space, often fitted as a cinema or family room. The beach club at the stern doubles as a gym or spa depending on specification. Throughout, ceiling heights and window proportions are fixed by the platform, but materials, colour palettes and furniture layouts are entirely bespoke. The result is a yacht that feels designed from scratch while benefiting from the structural certainty of a proven hull.
Six staterooms accommodate twelve guests across a layout that owners can reconfigure.
The full-beam master suite sits on the main deck forward, with panoramic windows and a private lounge area. Below, four guest cabins can be arranged as doubles, twins or convertibles depending on the cruising programme. A sixth cabin, often placed on the bridge deck, serves as a VIP suite with its own access to the upper deck. Crew quarters for twelve are arranged aft and below, with a crew mess, laundry and captain’s cabin that are separate from guest areas. Every cabin has an en-suite bathroom, individually controlled climate and blackout blinds.
The Limited Editions programme was designed to take the risk out of superyacht ownership.
By sharing a proven platform across multiple hulls, Amels reduces build time to around 24 months from contract to delivery, roughly half the timeline of a full custom yacht of this size. The platform carries Class notation, and the yard’s track record means insurance, flag state approval and survey are straightforward. Amels 60 hulls trade well on the resale market, and several operate in the global charter fleet, offering owners the option to offset running costs. At 853 gross tonnes, she sits comfortably within the regulatory framework for private superyachts, with no special crew certifications required beyond standard STCW.
