Apreamare / Apreamare Gozzo 45
The Apreamare Gozzo 45 is a 14.7-metre walkaround day cruiser built in the tradition of the Sorrentine gozzo, reimagined with modern naval architecture by Umberto Tagliavini. With a top speed of 33 knots and room for 16 guests on deck, she is designed for Mediterranean day cruising from Capri to the Cote d’Azur. Below deck, two cabins accommodate four guests for overnight passages. Available with Volvo Penta D8 shaft or IPS 700 propulsion, the Gozzo 45 is built to CE Category B and carries 1,600 litres of fuel for extended range.

Thirty-three knots from twin Volvo D8 shafts, or the same speed with less vibration from IPS 700 pods.
Tagliavini designed a hull that planes early and stays flat through turns, qualities that matter when you are threading between Capri and Positano with guests aboard. The walkaround layout keeps weight distribution even, and the 4.7-metre beam gives stability at rest without dragging at speed. At cruising speed of 25 knots, the 1,600-litre fuel tank delivers a comfortable day range with reserve. The hull is CE Category B, rated for offshore conditions, which means she handles the open passages between the Aeolian Islands or the Balearics without drama.
Cataldo Aprea drew a boat that looks like a gozzo from fifty metres and feels like a modern cruiser from the helm.
The signature walkaround deck runs from the cockpit to the bow without a single step, making line handling and anchoring safe underway. The bow area converts to a sunpad large enough for four, while the cockpit carries a dining table, wet bar and helm station under a hardtop that can be specified with opening panels. The transom folds down to create a bathing platform, and a hydraulic passerelle simplifies stern-to berthing in crowded Mediterranean ports. Teak decking is standard throughout, and every cleat, fairlead and grab rail is flush-mounted into the gunwale.
Sixteen guests on deck, with no one stuck in a corner.
The cockpit is the social hub: a U-shaped settee wraps around the dining table, with the wet bar and refrigerator within arm’s reach of the helm. Forward, the bow lounge seats six on deep cushions with a filler panel that converts the space to a daybed. The hardtop provides shade without closing the boat in, and optional side curtains create a sheltered cockpit for cooler evenings. The swim platform at the stern is large enough for a tender or a pair of paddleboards, and the transom garage holds snorkelling gear and fenders.
Two cabins below deck keep the layout simple and the space generous.
The forward master cabin has a double berth with natural light from overhead hatches and hull windows. A second cabin amidships offers twin berths that can be configured as a double. Both cabins share a heads compartment with a separate shower. The headroom below is respectable for a boat of this beam, and the joinery is finished in light wood with fabric panels that echo the Mediterranean palette of the exterior. Air conditioning is optional but commonly specified.
Built to order in Sorrento, with a delivery timeline that reflects the handcraft involved.
Each Gozzo 45 is assembled by Apreamare’s workshop team, with hull moulding, fit-out and sea trials conducted from the same yard. Buyers choose from shaft or IPS propulsion, hardtop configurations, wood species, and fabric palettes. Pricing begins in the region of EUR 900,000 for a shaft-driven boat with standard specification, rising with IPS, teak upgrades and custom joinery. Running costs are proportionate to a 15-metre cruiser: winter storage, annual antifouling, engine servicing and insurance. The gozzo hull form is shallow-drafted, which opens up anchorages and harbours that deeper-keeled boats cannot reach.
