Maiora / Maiora M38
The Maiora M38 is the new flagship of the M Collection, a 37.1-metre development of the three-deck motor yacht that opened with the smaller M30. Shown among Maiora’s Cannes 2026 projects, it carries the collection’s theme further, with an exterior by Quartostile described as warm modernism and interiors by Acube Design. The design aim was to give the yacht a sense of movement even at anchor, achieved through refined proportions, a long sculpted superstructure and the interplay of light across hull and glazing. Two features stand out. Folding side stern wings open to extend the cockpit into a single wide, level deck that reaches toward the sea, and a pool with a hidden walkable cover transforms from a water feature into usable deck space as needed. Accommodation is for up to 12 guests in five cabins, with a crew of five in three cabins. Owners choose between two engine packages: twin MAN V12-2200 units for a 23-knot top speed, or twin MTU 16V2000 engines for 28 knots. At a 10-knot cruise the yacht covers around 1,000 nautical miles. Hull and superstructure are composite, built to RINA class for unrestricted navigation, with 20,000 litres of fuel. As the M Collection flagship, the M38 sits above the M30 in both size and specification.

The M38 is offered with a choice of two propulsion packages to suit different priorities. The standard fit is a pair of MAN V12-2200 engines, each producing 2,200 horsepower, for a top speed of 23 knots and relaxed, efficient cruising. Owners who want more pace can specify twin MTU 16V2000 M96L engines of 2,600 horsepower, which lift the top speed to 28 knots, quick for a 37-metre yacht of this type. In either form the M38 is built for passage-making as much as sprinting, with a 10-knot cruise returning a range of around 1,000 nautical miles from its 20,000-litre tanks. The 2.35-metre draft reflects a hull designed for comfort and sea-keeping on longer trips rather than the shallow-water focus of the Exuma line.
Quartostile describes the M38’s exterior as warm modernism, and the phrase fits. Refined proportions and a long, low superstructure give the yacht a sense of movement even at rest, while teak, glazing and carefully judged shadow lines keep the modern shapes from feeling cold. Two features define the deck. Folding side stern wings open outward to turn the aft cockpit into a single wide, flush deck that reaches toward the water, a dramatic transformation at anchor. On the sun deck, a pool fitted with a hidden walkable cover shifts between a water feature and additional lounging space as the moment requires. The three-deck layout follows the M Collection template, updated and scaled up, so the M38 reads clearly as the flagship of the line without losing its family resemblance.
Acube Design carries the interior, continuing the collection’s language of soft forms, warm materials and an easy flow between inside and out. The M38 accommodates up to 12 guests in five cabins, with the layout built around a generous owner’s space that takes advantage of the yacht’s 8.2-metre beam and 275 gross tonnes of volume. A crew of five is berthed separately in three cabins, enough to run the yacht to a high standard. Large glazed openings keep the sea present throughout the main deck, and the social spaces are arranged to open fully to the folding stern deck when the weather allows. Compared with the M30, the extra length translates into more generous guest cabins and a larger, more flexible main-deck living area.
The M38’s deck design is where its personality shows most clearly. The folding stern wings are the signature move, opening the aft cockpit into a broad, level platform that brings guests close to the water and roughly doubles the usable social space at anchor. Above, the sun deck pool with its walkable cover lets the same area serve as a pool one moment and an open lounge or dining space the next. The main deck connects directly to the transformed cockpit for seamless entertaining, while the upper deck offers a quieter, shaded retreat with long views. Forward seating and sunpads add a private zone away from the main flow. Few yachts of this size offer this much adaptability on deck.
As the flagship of the M Collection, the M38 is built in composite and classed by RINA for unrestricted navigation, engineered for serious cruising rather than coastal use alone. Fuel capacity of 20,000 litres supports its 1,000-nautical-mile range, and the choice of two engine packages lets an owner tune the yacht between efficiency and outright speed. The M38 was presented among Maiora’s new projects at the 2026 Cannes Yachting Festival and sits above the 12-million-euro M30 in both size and specification. As a new flagship without an established brokerage record, pricing is best confirmed directly; our estimate places it around 16 million euros, consistent with its position between the M30 and the Exuma flagship.
