Privilège Marine / Privilège 510
The Privilège 510 is the most compact model in the current Privilège Signature range and the one that distils four decades of bluewater catamaran building into a yacht a couple can own and run themselves. At just over fifteen metres it keeps the hallmark Privilège layout, with the owner quarters set forward across the full beam of the yacht rather than squeezed into a single hull, so the whole front of the boat becomes a private suite with its own access and panoramic views. Marc Lombard drew the hulls for genuine offshore ability, with a balanced sail plan split between mainsail, genoa and self tacking staysail that keeps each sail small enough to handle shorthanded, and a shallow draft of 1.57 metres that opens quiet anchorages to a yacht of this size. The flybridge carries the helm and a social area above the coachroof, the cockpit and saloon flow together on one level, and the galley can be specified up in the light or down in the hull depending on how the owner likes to cruise. Three or four cabin layouts are offered, all finished to the standard of a semi custom yacht, because every Privilège is built to order. Fast, stiff and self sufficient, the 510 is a true couple ocean cruiser that asks for no crew.

The 510 is rigged to be worked by two. The sail area is divided between a mainsail, a genoa and a self tacking staysail, so each sail stays small enough to handle, and the yacht depowers gently rather than fighting the helm when a gust arrives. A Marc Lombard hull gives real pace on a reach and a kindly motion on passage, while the shallow 1.57 metre draft lets the 510 anchor where deeper yachts cannot.
The defining feature of every Privilège is the owner cabin set forward across the full width of the yacht, and the 510 keeps it intact. Rather than a berth squeezed into one hull, the owner has a private suite spanning the front of the boat, with its own access, generous storage and panoramic light. It is the single element that most sets a Privilège apart from a production catamaran.
Cockpit and saloon sit at the same height and open directly into one another, so cooking, dining, steering and relaxing all take place in one connected, light filled space with the sea always in view. The galley can be specified in the saloon or down in a hull to suit the owner, and the flybridge above adds the helm and a social area, keeping crew and guests together whether at anchor or under way.
Every 510 is built to order in composite at the Privilège yard in France and certified to CE category A for unrestricted ocean use. Buyers choose between three and four cabin layouts and tailor the finish throughout, so no two yachts are identical. That semi custom approach, combined with the brand proven offshore record, gives the 510 a loyal following on the brokerage market as well as in new build.
