Rodman Polyships has built boats in Vigo, on Spain’s Atlantic coast, since 1974, which makes it one of the oldest names in the Spanish marine industry. The group is unusually broad, building commercial and patrol craft alongside its leisure range, and that engineering background shows in the way its pleasure boats are put together. Rodman is best known for its fisher-cruisers, rugged and seaworthy hulls designed for owners who fish hard and cruise in comfort rather than chase outright speed.
The leisure range covers four lines. The Evolution series is the current flagship direction, a ground up renewal of the classic fisher-cruisers that replaces long serving models such as the 1250 with more contemporary design and layout. Muse and Spirit add open and cruiser styles, while the Ventura name covers larger cruising models. Across the range the emphasis stays constant: solid GRP construction, a sea kindly hull and practical, usable deck space.
For a buyer, Rodman represents dependable Atlantic engineering at sensible money. These are not fashion boats. They are built to work in real weather and to keep their value through long ownership, which is why the yard has held a loyal following for five decades.
