Maiora / Maiora M53
The Maiora M53 is the new flagship of the yard’s M Collection, a 52.98-metre full-displacement superyacht unveiled at the 2026 Cannes Yachting Festival alongside the smaller M38. Designed inside and out by Luca Dini, the M53 takes the collection’s language of warm, contemporary volumes and scales it to genuine superyacht proportions, with a steel hull and light-alloy superstructure built to RINA class for unrestricted navigation. Where the M30 and M38 are composite three-deckers, the M53 is a true ocean-going yacht, 499 gross tonnes of volume arranged across generous decks and a long, confident profile. Accommodation is for up to 12 guests in six cabins, with a full-beam owner’s suite taking advantage of the 9.15-metre beam, and a crew of nine in five cabins to run the yacht to full charter standard. Power comes from twin MAN D2862-LE489 engines of 1,066 kW each, giving a top speed of 16.5 knots and, more importantly for a yacht of this type, a transoceanic range of around 4,500 nautical miles at an economical 10-knot cruise from 69,000 litres of fuel. The M53 is built for long passages and extended time aboard rather than coastal sprints, with the sea-keeping and tankage to match. As the flagship of the M Collection, it sits well above the 37-metre M38 in size, volume and capability, and marks Maiora’s return to the larger displacement superyacht sector under Next Yacht Group. Presented as a new project at Cannes 2026, the M53 is offered as a semi-custom build with pricing confirmed on application.

The M53 is powered by twin MAN D2862-LE489 diesels, each rated at 1,066 kW, driving the yacht to a top speed of 16.5 knots. For a 52.98-metre full-displacement superyacht the headline figure is not outright pace but reach: at an economical 10-knot cruise the M53 covers around 4,500 nautical miles, enough for genuine ocean crossings, drawing on 69,000 litres of fuel. A 12,400-litre fresh-water capacity supports extended time aboard between ports. The steel hull is engineered for comfort and sea-keeping on long passages rather than the shallow-draft, high-speed brief of Maiora’s Exuma line, and the 2.40-metre draft reflects that displacement philosophy. Built and classed by RINA for unrestricted navigation, the M53 is conceived as a yacht that can be lived aboard and cruised anywhere, not simply moved between marinas.
Luca Dini’s exterior gives the M53 a long, assured profile that reads clearly as the flagship of the M Collection while carrying the family’s warm modernism up to superyacht scale. The 9.15-metre beam and 499 gross tonnes are expressed in full-height glazing, continuous shadow lines and expansive open decks that step down toward the water. In place of the folding theatrics of the smaller M38, the M53 relies on sheer volume: a broad sun deck, a generous foredeck lounge and a main-deck aft cockpit that opens to a sea-level beach club. The steel hull and light-alloy superstructure allow the sweeping, low-slung silhouette Dini favours, and the detailing keeps the modern geometry from feeling austere. It is a design built to look purposeful at anchor and at sea alike.
Luca Dini also authors the interior, carrying the M Collection’s soft forms and natural materials through a layout built for up to twelve guests in six cabins. The 9.15-metre beam allows a full-beam owner’s suite on the main deck, with the remaining cabins arranged below for family and guests, all benefiting from the yacht’s 499 gross tonnes of volume. Large glazed openings keep the sea present throughout the main living spaces, and the social areas are arranged for easy flow between interior and exterior. A crew of nine in five cabins allows the M53 to be run to full charter standard, with proper service spaces separated from the guest areas. Compared with the M38, the extra length and displacement translate into markedly larger cabins, more storage and the kind of volume that distinguishes a true superyacht from a large motor yacht.
With displacement volume to draw on, the M53 devotes its decks to space rather than gadgetry. The main-deck aft cockpit flows into a sea-level beach club for direct contact with the water, while the sun deck above offers the yacht’s largest open area for sunbathing, dining and a spa pool. A sheltered upper-deck lounge provides a quieter retreat with long views, and the foredeck is given over to private seating away from the main flow of the yacht. Across all three decks the emphasis is on generous, uncluttered areas that suit extended cruising and entertaining in equal measure. The result is a yacht that offers the outdoor living owners expect at this size without resorting to the transforming features of the smaller models in the range.
As the flagship of the M Collection, the M53 is built in steel with a light-alloy superstructure and classed by RINA for unrestricted navigation, engineered for serious ocean cruising rather than coastal use. Its 69,000-litre fuel capacity underpins the 4,500-nautical-mile range, and the 499 gross-tonne volume places it firmly in the superyacht category. Unveiled as a new project at the 2026 Cannes Yachting Festival, the M53 is offered as a semi-custom build through Next Yacht Group, with delivery slots and a high degree of personalisation available to owners. As a newly launched flagship without an established brokerage record, pricing is best confirmed directly with the yard; our estimate places a new build in the region of 35 million euros, consistent with its size and specification relative to the M38 and to comparable 50-metre Italian displacement superyachts. Build slots and customisation are available through Maiora and Next Yacht Group.
