Twin twelve cylinder engines sit under the deck, and the GT65 still feels composed at speed.
Two MAN V12 units, 1,550 horsepower apiece, carry her to a top speed of 28 knots and settle to a 20 knot cruise that eats distance without punishing fuel burn. A 5.2 metre beam gives the hull real stability through a turn, and a 1.6 metre draught keeps her out of trouble in the shallower anchorages a 20 metre yacht would otherwise have to skip. She carries her weight, close to 40 tonnes, without feeling heavy underway, the mark of a hull drawn by Zuccheri Yacht Design with cruising range as much as top speed in mind.
Cantiere del Pardo drew her exterior with one job in mind: dissolve the line between deck and sea.
Wraparound glazing wraps the deckhouse in light, a folding aft window opens the cockpit straight into the saloon, and a sliding glass sunroof overhead turns the whole main deck into an open air space in minutes. Forward, the sunpad folds into a transformable sofa for those who would rather sit up and watch the coast go by. Aft, a fold away tender garage swallows a three metre tender without breaking the transom’s clean lines, and a walkaround deck keeps every part of the yacht reachable without ducking through the interior. It is a hull designed to be lived on deck as much as looked at.
Nauta Design gave the GT65 an interior built to be lived in, not just admired at a boat show.
In the bow, a full beam owner’s suite runs the width of the hull with a transverse double bed, the kind of layout usually reserved for yachts considerably larger. Below deck, two further ensuite cabins, one twin and one double, sleep the rest of the party, with a crew cabin to port carrying its own access to the engine room so the working side of the yacht never crosses paths with guests. Across the layout she sleeps eight in total, with room for twelve on deck by day. An alternative galley down configuration trades some saloon space for a more compact owner’s berth, for owners who would rather entertain than retreat.
Three hundred nautical miles is not a number most 20 metre yachts advertise with confidence.
A 4,000 litre fuel capacity gives the GT65 a genuine 300 nautical mile range at her 20 knot cruise, enough to move between the Riviera and the Balearics without a fuel stop dictating the itinerary. That autonomy is the point of the Grand Tourer range altogether: a yacht fast enough for a short hop and efficient enough for a longer one, without the compromises either extreme usually demands. It is a quieter kind of performance than a headline top speed, and for an owner who actually cruises rather than simply arrives, it may matter more.
She is priced from 3,400,000 euros, and every euro of it is engineering rather than decoration.
Zuccheri Yacht Design handled naval architecture, Cantiere del Pardo drew the exterior lines, and Nauta Design shaped the interior and general arrangement, a three way collaboration that shows in how considered the GT65 feels throughout. Cantiere del Pardo’s own engineering team built the hull and systems, carrying forward the construction discipline the yard developed across decades of sailboat building. Launched at Cannes in 2025, she sits as the senior model in the Grand Tourer range until the GT75 arrives, and for an owner ready to move up from the GT52 without waiting for the flagship, she is very much the yacht.
