Deep V, twin diesels, and a steadiness that survives a full guest list.
Twin Volvo Penta D8 IPS 800 pod drives are the standard fit, delivering a 32 knot cruise and a 38 knot top speed from a deep V hull built for stability as much as outright pace. Sea trials with a full complement of twelve guests aboard reported genuine steadiness through straight-line running at speed, the kind of composure that matters more on a real day out than a spec sheet number achieved with an empty boat. It is the balance between the two, quick enough to matter, stable enough to trust with a full guest list, that defines how the Power 58 actually feels underway.
The silhouette that started with the Wallypower118, redrawn for a smaller hull.
Two decades after the original Wallypower118 established Wally’s language of low, uninterrupted lines, the Power 58 reworks that same vocabulary at a size one owner can run without a full crew. A pillarless, curved glass windscreen wraps the helm without a single visible frame breaking the sightline, and generous walkways connect bow to stern without the usual clutter of hardware. Traditional portholes are gone entirely, replaced by a cleaner hull side, a detail explained fully once you step below and find cameras doing a porthole’s job instead.
Two cabins, sleeping four, arranged around comfort rather than headcount.
The owner’s cabin carries its own ensuite bathroom, kept separate from a guest dayhead and shower so that entertaining above deck never disturbs the private spaces below. A second cabin brings sleeping capacity to four, with an alternative flexi-guest configuration available for owners who would rather trade a berth for a single crew cabin, useful for those who prefer to bring a professional aboard for longer trips. It is a layout built for a couple or a small family who want their own space respected, rather than one stretched to claim a headline berth count it cannot support comfortably.
The portholes are cameras, and the helm seats are carbon fibre.
Paired cameras on each side of the saloon feed a matching set of interior screens, standing in for traditional portholes with a sharper, adjustable view of the water outside and freeing the hull sides from the visual break a real porthole demands. At the helm, seats machined from carbon fibre keep weight out of a part of the boat that usually carries far more of it, without giving up comfort on a long run. On deck, folding bulwark wings add 25 square metres to the aft deck and a further 12 square metres to the cockpit once she is anchored, turning a day boat’s footprint into something closer to a small yacht’s when it matters most.
The flagship of Wally’s day boat range, built to be owned rather than crewed.
Wally’s own design and engineering teams are behind every element of the Power 58, developed under the Ferretti Group, which has backed the brand since 2019. A 3,000 litre fuel capacity supports a 320 nautical mile range at cruising speed, giving her genuine reach beyond a single day’s use, and a single crew member can operate her day to day. Priced from 1,950,000 euros, she asks an owner to choose between a superyacht’s tender and a full sized yacht, and answers by being capable enough to replace the need for either.
