Cobrey 33 HT Yacht Review

A hardtop cruiser this size rarely offers a genuine second cabin. The Cobrey 33 HT does, without giving up the speed that defines the range. Styled by Alessandro Inno of Rome’s INO Group and built by Cobrey Yachts, she steps up from the smaller 28 with twin engines as standard, a two cabin layout sleeping four, and a 600 litre fuel tank that stretches her range well beyond a single day out. Distinctive air intakes and a sharply drawn hull window line carry Inno’s Italian styling through a boat that is otherwise built for hard, practical use on the water. At around 240,000 euros new, she sits between a compact day boat and a full weekender, offering redundancy from her twin engines and enough accommodation for a genuine family trip rather than just an afternoon on deck. For an owner outgrowing a smaller cruiser but not ready for the cost and complexity of a much larger yacht, the 33 HT is a considered next step.
Performance

Twin engines mean speed with a safety margin built in.

The standard twin Volvo Penta D4-300 setup gives the Cobrey 33 HT a 25 knot cruise and a 35 knot top speed, with the redundancy of two engines rather than one a genuine advantage on longer coastal runs. Owners who prefer a different powertrain can specify twin Mercruiser 6.2 litre units or twin Yanmar 8LV diesels, both offered from the factory. A 600 litre fuel tank supports a 300 nautical mile range at cruise, roughly half as far again as the smaller 28, while a 0.9 metre draught keeps her accessible to the same shallow harbours and anchorages without sacrificing the stability that a wider beam provides.

Design & Lines

Her styling comes from Rome, her build from Warsaw.

Alessandro Inno of INO Group drew the Cobrey 33 HT’s exterior, and it shows in details that go beyond the usual hardtop cruiser template: sculpted air intakes along the topsides, a hull window line that breaks up the freeboard, and a hardtop with pointed edges the yard describes as its signature fangs. The result is a profile that looks considerably more expensive than her position in the range suggests. Beneath the styling, the hull is built to the same GRP construction as the rest of the Cobrey line, prioritising a stiff, light structure over unnecessary weight. It is a boat designed to be noticed at anchor as much as respected underway.

Interior & Accommodation

Two cabins and a genuine bathroom set the 33 HT apart from a typical day boat.

Below decks, a master bedroom and a second cabin sleep four in total, supported by a bathroom with a separate shower enclosure rather than a shared wet room. The lower deck kitchenette is bright and properly equipped, with an electric stove, a stainless steel sink, a refrigerator and cabinetry finished in artificial stone countertops. High quality carpeting and 12 volt ceiling lighting carry the finish through the accommodation spaces, while a lowering table adds flexibility for dining or extra sleeping space when needed. With room to carry a crew member as well as four guests overnight, she is built for genuine time aboard rather than day trips alone.

Engineering

Every fitting on board is chosen to survive real use, not just a boat show.

A lockable engine compartment protects the twin engines from tampering at berth, while an automatic fire extinguisher system adds a layer of safety that is easy to overlook until it matters. On deck, a large sun sofa with an adjustable backrest, an outdoor shower and a bathing platform with a ladder are built for practical, repeated use rather than a single glossy photograph. The cockpit’s own kitchen cabinet, complete with sink and cup holders, means guests can be served without anyone leaving the sun for long. None of it is showy. All of it works.

Ownership & Specification

A flagship for the range without a flagship price.

At 10 metres length overall and 3.3 metres of beam, the Cobrey 33 HT carries twin Volvo Penta D4-300 engines as standard, with Mercruiser and Yanmar alternatives available to order. New pricing starts from around 240,000 euros, positioning her above the 28 but well short of a full flybridge motor yacht. A 600 litre fuel tank, a 300 nautical mile range and accommodation for four guests plus a crew member make her a genuine step up in capability, not just in length. Designed by Alessandro Inno and built by Cobrey Yachts, she is the boat for an owner who has outgrown a smaller day cruiser and wants twin engine security and real accommodation without moving into a different class of yacht altogether.
