Three ways to run her, and one button to choose between them.
Standard power comes from twin Cummins QSB 6.7 diesels delivering 380 horsepower each, enough for a 15 knot cruise and a 23 knot top speed. The Volvo Penta D3, at 220 horsepower a side, is offered as an alternative, and the hybrid option adds twin 14 kilowatt electric motors for silent running at anchor or in harbour. A trip extender brings the diesels online briefly to top up the lithium battery bank before returning to electric mode, and 2.4 kilowatts of solar panels on the coachroof can run the air conditioning on a sunny day without drawing on the batteries at all. With 1,500 litres of fuel aboard she carries a 1,000 nautical mile range, giving an owner the choice of how much of a cruise to spend in silence.
A hydraulic swim platform rated for over 1,100 pounds sets the tone.
At 15 metres with a 4.8 metre beam, the 48 Coupe carries her volume with a sleek, low profile, J&J Design keeping the lines consistent with the smaller Greenline coupes above her. A starboard staircase leads up into the cockpit, where an aft table and seating area are built for dining rather than simply sitting. The swim platform doubles as a watersports base and can take an optional barbecue station, while a large stowage area beneath the transom cushion handles the gear that usually ends up cluttering the cockpit. The 1 metre draught keeps the shallow water access that defines the range, even at this larger size.
Eight guests across three cabins, with two bathroom layouts to choose from.
J&J Design’s interior favours light over decoration. Panoramic windows and an open salon layout keep the space feeling larger than 15 metres would suggest. Owners can specify either three cabins with three heads or two cabins with three heads, depending on whether guest capacity or bathroom privacy matters more. A centreline stairway leads down to the sleeping quarters, keeping the arrangement simple to navigate even for guests using the boat for the first time. The galley sits aft and to starboard, properly equipped rather than decorative, with cabinetry and a refrigerator and freezer opposite for real provisioning on longer trips.
A six person settee that becomes a spare berth by nightfall.
The salon is open, bright and genuinely sociable, with a forward and port side settee for six that converts into an additional berth when needed. An entertainment console to starboard can be swapped for a small sofa, a pair of chairs or a small bar, letting an owner tailor the space to how they actually entertain rather than accepting a fixed layout. The aft window lifts to connect the salon directly to the cockpit, a feature Greenline carries across its entire range from 33 to 65 feet, and one that turns two separate rooms into a single entertaining space whenever the weather allows. A washer and dryer hidden in a hatch in the salon floor keeps the practical side of longer cruises out of sight.
The largest of Greenline’s coupes, priced close to her smaller sisters.
At around 600,000 euros new, the 48 Coupe asks little more than the 45 Coupe for a genuinely larger boat and a third cabin. Greenline’s in house engineering team built the hybrid propulsion system, working alongside J&J Design on an exterior and interior that stay consistent with the rest of the coupe range. The choice between Cummins and Volvo Penta diesels, with the hybrid electric option alongside, gives a buyer real flexibility over running costs and quiet cruising rather than a single fixed specification. For a family that wants a serious, shallow draught coupe with room for three cabins and the option of running silently at anchor, the 48 Coupe makes the strongest case in the range.
