Twelve guests, one boat, no sense of crowding.
The T-top’s shaded footprint extends the NY40’s usable deck well beyond what the open version offers, covering a helm with two leather seats, a forward facing galley module built into the T-top’s base, and the aft cockpit beneath it. A central dining area seats six around folding teak tables, while the sundeck’s removable backrests turn the same space into open lounging for the rest of the party. Twelve day guests can move between shade, sun and water without the boat ever feeling like it has run out of room, a genuine step up from her open sibling’s more exposed layout.
The T-top is the whole point, and it shows.
Built from carbon infusion for strength without weight, the canopy covers the helm and cockpit in one continuous sweep and folds a forward facing galley into its base rather than bolting one on as an afterthought. Beneath it, the same decked foredeck, pierced bulwarks and rounded windscreen carry over from the open NY40, but the silhouette reads noticeably more purposeful with the hard top in place. Mirror polished steel detailing and chevron teak decking continue the family’s design language, so she is instantly recognisable as a Nerea without simply repeating her sister’s lines.
Two cabins, eight berths, a genuine weekend away.
Below deck, the NY40 Inboard T-Top carries her accommodation more generously than the open version, with two cabins arranged across modular layouts and sleeping space for up to eight guests. A single bathroom with toilet, shower and basin serves the whole interior, finished in the same Oleomalta surface material and recycled plastic detailing used across the range. It is a layout built around a full weekend aboard rather than a single long day out, which is exactly the gap she is designed to fill alongside her open sister.
The aft platform does more work than most boats ask of one fitting.
Fitted only to the inboard range, the multifunctional platform lowers below the waterline to serve as a swim step, rises to form a stable boarding platform, and doubles as a tender lift when needed. Forward, a sun pad with storage underneath gives a quieter spot away from the cockpit’s activity, while an electrically opening engine hatch keeps maintenance access simple without disrupting the deck above. Between the platform, the T-top and the twin cabin accommodation, she is built for entertaining through an entire day and night rather than a single afternoon on the water.
Twin inboards, tuned for comfort rather than outright speed.
Twin Volvo Penta D6 440 horsepower engines come as standard, with a 480 horsepower Volvo Penta option and twin Mercury 6.2 litre petrol engines also available for owners who want more top end. As specified, she cruises at 28 knots and reaches 36 at the top, a touch more measured than her open sister’s pace, which suits a boat carrying more weight in accommodation and canopy structure. A 900 litre fuel tank supports a 280 nautical mile range, and one crew member is enough to run her day to day, keeping a genuinely spacious boat straightforward to own and operate.
