THUMPER is a 40.05-metre semi-displacement motor yacht built by Sunseeker as their 40 Metre Yacht model, delivered in August 2014 and nominated for a World Superyacht Award the following year. She is the most highly specified 40m Sunseeker ever produced: every upgrade and option was included, and the interior was completely customised by HPM Design with bespoke sculptural pieces commissioned specifically from artists studio Based Upon.
The design concept is beach club: Miami and Ibiza translated to sea. Pale washed timber floors and ceilings, white vein stone, drop-down side balconies and floor-to-ceiling windows and skylights create a light-filled, fresh atmosphere throughout. Semi-precious stone appears at side tables in the master suite; leathers, metals and unique artworks appear throughout. Contemporary chandeliers in the main salon and silk fabrics give a genuinely designed feel.
THUMPER is licensed for the Balearic Islands, an RYA Training Centre and is popular for event hosting. Twelve guests sleep across five staterooms (master on main deck, two doubles and two twins on lower deck) with a crew of nine. A Williams 565 diesel jet tender (new 2025), two Sea-Doo Spark Trixx jet skis, Seabob F5, four-person watershed, Aquaglide jungle gym, inflatable trampoline and slide complete the toy collection.
The main deck aft of Thumper is the primary outdoor social space: a covered or partially shaded area with comfortable built-in seating, a dining table and a connection to the swim platform that makes moving between deck and water completely natural. Whether for a casual lunch or a formal dinner under the stars, this deck delivers.
The main salon of Thumper is the centrepiece of the interior experience: a generous open-plan living and dining area that uses carefully chosen materials, furniture and lighting to create a space that feels both refined and genuinely comfortable. Large windows ensure natural light throughout the day, and the flow between the salon and the aft deck makes indoor-outdoor living effortless.
The master suite of Thumper occupies the best position on the yacht for privacy and natural light. A king-sized bed, ample storage, sitting area, his-and-hers dressing facilities and a full marble or stone-finished bathroom with both shower and bath make this a retreat comparable to the finest suite in any five-star hotel ashore.
The sun deck of Thumper is the highest and most panoramic outdoor space on board: sun pads, comfortable loungers and a bar create an environment where guests naturally gravitate as the afternoon light changes. Views are unobstructed in every direction.
The sky lounge of Thumper is the social nerve-centre above the main salon: a versatile space with a plush sofa, bar, and entertainment system that transitions between relaxed daytime lounge and lively pre-dinner cocktail bar as the evening progresses. Its position and panoramic windows make it a favourite spot at any hour.
The 5 staterooms of Thumper accommodate 12 guests overnight in surroundings that match the quality of the master suite in materials and attention to detail. Several cabins convert flexibly between double and twin configuration, and all are equipped with en-suite bathroom, ample storage, individual climate control and entertainment systems.
