Fairline / Fairline Squadron 58
The Squadron 58 carries a name Fairline has used since 2000, and the third generation has almost nothing in common with the boats that wore the badge before it. The hull is new, the superstructure sits lower and longer, and the aft end now opens into a beach club that turns the bathing platform into usable deck rather than somewhere to stow the tender.
Inside, the main deck runs level from the cockpit through to the galley behind a full-width window line, and an aft dinette can be specified in place of part of the cockpit seating. Below sit three cabins: a full-beam owner’s suite amidships, a VIP in the bow and a twin, six berths in all, with a single crew cabin aft. Fairline publishes three lower-deck plans that differ mainly in whether the space behind the crew cabin becomes a lazarette or a day head.
Twin Volvo Penta D13s drive through shafts. The 900 rating gives an estimated 31 knots and the 1000 rating 32, on a 27 tonne hull carrying 2,774 litres of fuel.
Mk3 boats reach the brokerage market quickly and hold their money: asking prices currently sit between roughly 2.3 and 2.9 million euro for 2025 hulls, close to the cost of a new one. The Mk1 and Mk2 boats of the same name trade nearer half a million and should not be read as comparables.
