The 510 Sport Pininfarina is the hard top half of Schaefer’s collaboration with the Italian design house. It is built on the same 15.82 metre hull as the flybridge 510 GT, but with the upper deck removed and the profile pulled low. Air draft falls to 4.95 metres, weight comes down with it, and the boat reads as a sport cruiser rather than a small flybridge yacht.
Pininfarina’s hand shows in the way the hard top meets the superstructure and in the run of the side glazing, treated as a single element from helm to transom. The cockpit stays large, with a fold down bathing platform and retractable balconies that widen the aft deck at anchor.
Below, three layout options run to three suites, with the master taking the full beam amidships. Six berths plus crew accommodation is the published count, and 1,300 litres of fuel supports a range of 164 nautical miles.
The helm carries multi touch navigation and joystick control, which keeps the boat realistic for an owner who runs it without professional crew.
