The Artemis 48 sits in the middle of the Selene fast range, and it is the one where the formula settles. At 14.8 metres on a 4.37 metre beam she carries enough volume for a flybridge with real seating, a full-width saloon and an aft deck that works at anchor, without becoming a boat that needs crew.
Twin Yanmar 6LY3-UTP diesels rated 440 brake horsepower each push 19 tonnes to 23 knots. Draft is 1.15 metres, fuel capacity 1,500 litres, fresh water 400 litres.
Inside, the plan is deliberately open. The saloon is entered from the cockpit through a sliding glass door and runs forward into the galley with no bulkhead between them. Two staterooms sit below, a queen forward and a double amidships, each with its own access to a head and an enclosed shower stall.
The equipment list is standard rather than optional, which is the yard argument for the whole range. Air conditioning, a 9 kW Kohler generator with sound shield and helm start panel, Corian counters, Cantalupi lighting, Manship hatches, Oceanair shades, Tecma heads, Bennett trim tabs, a Maxwell windlass and a fuel polishing system all come with the boat rather than on top of it.
For a buyer this is a 48 foot flybridge cruiser from a yard whose day job is ocean passagemakers. The joinery and the systems engineering read like the trawlers. The speed does not.
