A sauna on a family charter yacht adds a ritual that draws generations together in a way few onboard amenities manage. After a morning spent snorkelling or hiking ashore, a session in the sauna followed by a cold plunge resets the group before lunch. It is particularly effective for families chartering in cooler waters, where the sauna provides warmth that the sea cannot, and for longer charters where a fixed wellness routine anchors the day.
Seventeen yachts in our charter fleet carry both the Family tag and a sauna, from the thirty five metre Viking III to the seventy three metre Lady Vera. QU2, a sixty metre Amels, pairs the sauna with a full spa suite and plunge pool. Moskito, a fifty five metre Heesen, and Reliance, also a Heesen at fifty five metres, both place the sauna within reach of the beach club and swim platform. Option B, a thirty seven metre Benetti, offers a sauna aboard a more intimate family yacht.
Weekly rates begin at fifty seven thousand five hundred euros for Viking III and reach eight hundred and seventy five thousand for Lady Vera. Most of the fleet falls between one hundred and twenty thousand and three hundred and fifty thousand euros. The advance provisioning allowance adds roughly thirty percent, covering fuel, food, berthing and drinks.
The Mediterranean in summer and the Caribbean in winter suit these yachts equally, though the sauna earns its place most on northern European itineraries where cooler air and water make the warmth essential rather than decorative.
