Mljet is Croatia’s greenest island and one of the most scenically distinctive charter destinations in the Adriatic, its national park covering a third of the island and protecting two unique saltwater lakes connected to the sea. At 75,000 Euros per week, the yachts available in Croatia measure 30 to 38 metres, carry professional crews of five or six and provide well-appointed accommodation for parties of eight to twelve guests.
The national park’s saltwater lakes, Malo and Veliko jezero, are navigable by tender and kayak, and the small monastery island of St Mary in Veliko jezero is reached by a short rowboat crossing. The harbour at Polace on the northern coast provides sheltered berthing for visiting yachts close to the park entrance.
Charter fees cover the yacht and full crew. The Advance Provisioning Allowance runs to approximately ~22,000 euros, covering fuel, provisions, marina berthing and running costs. 9 yachts are available in Croatia at this weekly rate. July and August carry peak demand; June and September offer near-identical conditions with greater date flexibility.
From Mljet, Dubrovnik and the Elaphiti Islands lie two hours east. Korcula is one hour northwest. Lastovo, the most remote of the southern Dalmatian islands, lies two hours west. The position makes Mljet a natural stop on any southern Dalmatian charter itinerary.
