Costa Rica: The Pacific Coast Charter Itinerary

Costa Rica: The Pacific Coast Itinerary

Costa Rica: The Pacific Coast Yacht Charter
A week down the Pacific coast of Costa Rica, where rainforest tumbles to the sea and wildlife spills onto beaches, reefs and tropical fjords. This is the essence of pura vida, sloths and scarlet macaws, humpback whales and turtle-nesting sands. Expect national parks meeting the ocean and some of the best snorkelling in Central America, dry-forest bays and rich, warm water throughout.

Every route we shape is a starting point, not a fixed schedule. Stay a second day where the light is right, move with the weather, or follow a captain to a quieter anchorage. What follows is one considered way to read it; the rest we tailor to you.
Day 1

Gulf of Papagayo

Step aboard in the beautiful Gulf of Papagayo in the north, a string of sheltered bays and golden beaches backed by dry tropical forest. Anchor off a quiet cove for a first swim as howler monkeys call ashore.
Day 2

Nicoya Peninsula

Cruise down the wild Nicoya Peninsula, a coast of surf beaches, hidden coves and laid-back villages. Anchor off a deserted strand, swim in the warm water, and enjoy the unhurried, wild shore.
Day 3

Curu & Tortuga Island

Sail to the Curu Wildlife Refuge and nearby Tortuga Island, where white-sand beaches meet warm, clear water perfect for snorkelling. Explore the refuge, snorkel the reef, and laze on the beach.
Day 4

Manuel Antonio

Cruise south to Manuel Antonio, where one of the world’s most beautiful national parks meets the sea, its rainforest home to sloths and monkeys. Anchor offshore, visit the park, and swim in the clear bay.
Day 5

Osa Peninsula

Sail to the remote Osa Peninsula, home to Corcovado, the most biologically intense place on earth. Anchor in the vast Golfo Dulce, explore the rainforest edge, and take in the wild abundance.
Day 6

Golfo Dulce

Spend a day exploring the tranquil Golfo Dulce, one of only a few tropical fjords in the world and a haven for humpback whales and dolphins. Watch for spouts, swim in the warm water, and savour the calm.
Day 7

Cano Island

The voyage ends at Cano Island, a protected reserve ringed by some of the best snorkelling and diving in Costa Rica. Snorkel among rays and turtles, then toast a week down the Pacific coast.
