St Tropez to Portofino Charter Itinerary

St Tropez to Portofino Itinerary

St Tropez to Portofino Yacht Charter
One coast, two countries. This seven-day passage runs east from Saint-Tropez along the French Riviera and across the border into Liguria, finishing in the fairytale harbour of Portofino. Between the two lie the marquee names, Cannes and Monaco, and the quieter Italian towns that most charters never reach. It is a route with momentum, each day a new harbour, the scenery shifting from Provencal glamour to Ligurian pastel as you go.

Every route we shape is a starting point, not a fixed schedule. Stay a second day where the light is right, move with the weather, or follow a captain to a quieter cove. What follows is one considered way to read it; the rest we tailor to you.
Day 1

Saint-Tropez

Begin in Saint-Tropez, a fishing village that never let go of its origins. Take in the old port and the lanes of La Ponche, then let the afternoon drift toward Pampelonne and its long ribbon of sand. Anchor off the beach for a first swim, the town waiting for the evening.

Day 2

Cannes

Cruise east to Cannes, the Riviera at its most composed. The Croisette runs long past the grand hotels, and behind it the boutiques and terraces set the pace. Offshore, the Iles de Lerins offer a calm anchorage and pine-shaded coves a short tender ride away.

Day 3

Villefranche-sur-Mer

A short passage brings the deep, sheltered bay of Villefranche-sur-Mer, one of the loveliest anchorages on the coast. The old town tumbles in ochre and rose to the water’s edge, and the water below is clear and calm. Swim, wander the vaulted Rue Obscure, and take dinner on the quay.
Day 4

Monaco

Cruise to Monaco, a city built entirely around the water and best seen from it. Berth in Port Hercule among the season’s largest yachts, cross the principality on foot to the casino and palace gardens, and feel the particular energy of Monte-Carlo after dark.

Day 5

San Remo

Cross into Italy and the change is immediate. San Remo, the City of Flowers, greets you with belle-epoque villas, a palm-lined front and an atmospheric old quarter climbing the hill behind. Anchor off the marina, take an easy Italian breakfast ashore, and settle into the coast’s gentler register.

Day 6

Genoa

Continue to Genoa, Liguria’s proud maritime capital, its labyrinth of grand palaces the largest medieval quarter in Europe. Explore the revived old port and narrow caruggi, taste the city that invented pesto, then return to the yacht as the harbour lights come up.

Day 7

Portofino

The voyage ends at Portofino, the jewel of the Riviera. Its tiny harbour, ringed by pastel houses and framed by wooded hills, is at its best from the water. Anchor in the bay, tender in for a drink on the piazzetta, and let the last evening hold.
