Originally built as a private yacht by Burger Boat Company, she later served in a research role at Grand Valley State University, operating exclusively on the freshwater of Lake Michigan.
She retains her original Kahlenberg 4-cylinder diesel engine, fully operational, and has benefited from a Burger-led restoration/preservation program (2011–2012) followed by meticulous mechanical recommissioning by her current owner.
