CLOUD IX is a 23.7 metre Sanlorenzo SX76, delivered in 2019 and kept in fine order since, one of the most interesting production yachts the Italian yard has built. The SX line is Sanlorenzo’s crossover: a yacht that borrows the sea keeping and volume of an explorer but wraps it in the clean, contemporary styling of a sport yacht, with the living space and the sea kept deliberately on one level. For a couple or a small family, she is a rare thing, a compact yacht that lives much larger than her length.
The crossover idea shapes the whole experience aboard. Where most yachts stack their decks and close the interior off from the water, the SX opens the main deck straight out to the sea through full height glass, so the salon, the aft deck and the swim platform read as one continuous space. Add a full beam sun deck across the top and the result is a yacht built for open air living, easy to move around and full of light. A crew of three runs her, with stabilisers at anchor and under way keeping her steady through a long lunch or an overnight passage.
Six guests sleep in three cabins. The master is a bright full beam double with windows close on both sides, a VIP double carries the same pale, contemporary palette, and a twin completes the accommodation with the flexibility of a Pullman berth for a seventh guest or a conversion to a double for a couple. Each has its own ensuite. The layout suits a family or two or three couples who want comfortable, private cabins without taking on a much larger yacht and crew.
Inside, CLOUD IX is calm and current. The main salon is pale and open, light oak and soft neutrals gathered around a low table, and because the whole aft wall is glass it opens completely to the shaded aft deck at anchor. A dining table sits forward for the group, and a quieter corner with a bar gives a second inside space away from the main room. The interior is arranged around light and sea views rather than heavy joinery, the signature of the SX line.
Outside is generous for a yacht of this size. The full beam sun deck runs open across the top with sun pads and shade high above the water, the aft deck carries shaded seating a step up from the swim platform, and a private foredeck lounge gives anyone who wants it a quiet corner away from the group. She carries a real spread of toys for her size, a Williams jet tender, a Seabob, a jet ski, paddle boards and towables, all launched off the stern for a day spent in the water.
Her home water is Ibiza and the Balearics, and she is well matched to it. The islands sit a short run apart, the water is clear and the anchorages range from quiet coves to the beach clubs of Ibiza and Formentera, and her crossover layout is made for exactly this kind of cruising, close to the sea and easy in and out of the water all day. With her open main deck, her sun deck and her three comfortable cabins, CLOUD IX suits a couple or a small family who want a stylish, active week in the Balearics on a yacht that feels far larger than she measures.
