About ENA

ENA is a navetta, and that word does more work than any other in describing her. Custom Line built her in 2005 to the Navetta 30 design: a displacement hull, a near-plumb bow, three decks stacked on a 30.95-metre platform and 180 gross tons of interior volume. She tops out at seventeen knots and settles at twelve. Everything about her is arranged around the idea that the passage is part of the holiday rather than an interruption to it.

That trade buys a great deal. Volume on a displacement hull goes into rooms, not into engine space, and ENA carries the interior of a yacht several metres longer. The main deck runs as one continuous cherry-panelled volume, saloon forward into dining, with windows down both sides at eye level from the sofa. A second, separate salon sits on the upper deck, lighter in cream and yellow, with its own outlook and its own doors onto a shaded deck. Two proper living rooms on a 30-metre yacht is not the norm.

The 2019 refit is what makes her current, and it was more thorough than most. Zuccon International Project shaped the interior, and the furnishing schedule reads unusually specifically: B&B Italia sofas and Febo dining chairs in pale leather, Loro Piana and Hermes fabrics, a Moroso leather sofa in the upper salon, SIFAS Basket sun beds on deck. Yachts of this age are usually refitted with yard joinery. ENA was refurnished.

Ten guests sleep in five cabins. The master takes a full-width room with a console and a wall-mounted screen; a VIP alongside it carries a velvet sofa down one side; a further double and two twins complete the arrangement, all cherry-panelled and all with en suites. It is a conventional layout executed carefully, which at this size is worth more than an unconventional one executed loosely.

Outside, the navetta form pays again. Wide side decks run the length of her, properly walkable rather than notionally so. The aft deck seats the party around a single table under the overhang, and the sun deck above carries loungers and a shaded seating area that catch the last of the light. A swim platform aft handles the toys: a Mar-Co 26 tender on twin 250hp Verados, a Sea-Doo GTX, two Seabob F5s, waterskis and wakeboards sized for adults and children, a Jobe Omnia board, a paddleboard, a towable tube, and diving and fishing equipment.

She is based in Croatia summer and winter, which is the right home for her. The Dalmatian coast is a short-hop cruising ground – Hvar to Vis, Vis to Korcula, the Kornati in a morning – and none of it asks for twenty knots. A displacement hull with a 633-mile range and stabilisation makes those passages comfortable rather than merely quick.

Captain Krsto Brok has been aboard a long time with a crew of six, and the repeat bookings that follow ENA are the clearest thing in her file. IYC leads with the crew rather than the specification, which for a twenty-year-old hull is telling: the boat is the setting, and the people are the reason guests come back.

For a family or two couples wanting volume, steadiness and genuinely good furniture over speed, at sixty-nine and a half thousand a week in the Adriatic, she is a well-judged proposition.
