About MIA ZOI

Mia Zoi is a rare thing on the charter market, a compact aluminium motor yacht with real pedigree and the pace to match. Built by the Dutch yard Vitters in 1995 to a design by Willem de Vries Lentsch, she was made to move, and a comprehensive refit in 2023 has brought her interior and systems up to date without losing the character that sets her apart.

Her appeal starts with how she runs. Twin engines and a light aluminium hull give her a genuine turn of speed, so she covers the distance between Greek islands or Adriatic harbours while others are still weighing anchor. Zero speed stabilisers keep her level at rest, and the naval architecture that made her quick also makes her sea kindly, a combination that suits guests who want to see more of a coast in a week.

Inside, the mood is warm and classic. High gloss mahogany runs through the main deck, softened by pale sofas, green accents and natural light from windows on both sides. The main saloon is an easy, sociable room that flows into a separate formal dining area, and the styling by Isabelle Blanchere gives her the feel of a private yacht rather than a rental. It is a space with warmth and history, comfortable rather than clinical.

She sleeps ten guests across four cabins, a full beam master among them, with two twins that convert to doubles to suit families or friends travelling together. A permanent crew of six, many of them long serving, run her with the ease that comes from knowing a yacht well, and repeat charter guests are a large part of her season.

The 2023 refit was thorough rather than cosmetic, reaching the systems and finishes that matter over a long charter week. Fresh soft furnishings, updated air conditioning and refreshed cabins mean a yacht from 1995 now feels current below deck, while the layout keeps the easy flow between saloon, dining and the aft deck that makes days on board feel unhurried. Little is asked of guests beyond choosing where to drop anchor next.

The outside spaces are generous for her size. The sun deck carries a shaded lounge and a wet bar, the natural place to gather at sunset, while the foredeck opens to a private run of sun pads away from the main deck. Aft, a teak dining area sits close to the water, and the swim platform makes the sea an easy step from the deck.

For the active, she carries a proper spread of toys, from towables and paddleboards to inflatables, and the crew set up a floating play area at anchor. Her draught and size let her tuck into the smaller bays and fishing harbours that larger yachts cannot reach, which is much of the point of chartering a yacht like this in Greece and the Adriatic.

Mia Zoi cruises the East Mediterranean and the Adriatic across both seasons, from the Saronic and Cyclades to the Dalmatian coast. She suits a group that values pace, provenance and a warm, personal feel over sheer volume, a characterful and well run yacht chartering some of the finest waters in the Mediterranean from 65,000 euro per week.
