Twenty five knots at cruise, thirty at the top, and pod drives doing the close quarters work most owners actually notice.
Twin Volvo Penta D11 diesels drive pod units rather than conventional shafts, giving the 60 Fly her agility at low speed and her efficiency at high. A Seakeeper gyrostabiliser is available for owners who want flatter water at anchor regardless of what the sea outside is doing, and the helm carries a 12 inch Garmin display as standard, upgradeable to a pair of larger 17 inch units for owners who want more chart and radar detail in view. Consumption falls to around 30 litres an hour at a gentle eight knots, which is where her longest range comes from.
The stern is cut away and left deliberately blank, a canvas rather than a finished room.
That chopped transom is the 60 Fly’s clearest design statement, opening the aft deck to whatever furniture or layout an owner prefers rather than fixing it at the factory. Up top, a flybridge of close to 28 square metres carries booth seating, a wet bar and a retractable sunshade over the helm, while the foredeck adds a further 13 square metres of sun pad and bench seating forward. The result is a hull that reads as one continuous outdoor space, broken only by the glass box of the saloon sitting between the two.
Three cabins, six berths, and a crew cabin that keeps the guest decks entirely guest space.
The master sits forward on the centreline, its queen berth facing the bow, with an en suite shower, a vanity desk and a walk-in wardrobe. A double cabin amidships and a twin cabin to port complete the guest accommodation, each with its own shower room. Aft, in the transom, a separate two berth crew cabin with its own head keeps professional crew off the guest decks entirely, a detail that matters as much for privacy as for comfort. Stained Alaska oak veneer runs through the interior in both matte and gloss finishes, giving the joinery real depth under different light.
Indoors and out, the 60 Fly is built to move as one space rather than several.
Headroom throughout the saloon and aft deck runs to just under two metres, tall enough that the transition from inside to out never feels like ducking through a doorway. Full height glazing keeps the saloon bright and connected to the aft deck’s blank canvas layout, while the flybridge above adds a further, fully furnished tier reached by a single, easy stair. Whether an owner fills the aft deck with dining for eight or leaves it as clear teak for lounging, the boat gives them the space to decide rather than making the decision for them.
Nine hundred nautical miles is not a number most 18 metre flybridge yachts even try for.
At a slow cruise of around eight knots, the 60 Fly’s 2,600 litre fuel capacity stretches to roughly 900 nautical miles, and even at her faster 25 knot cruise she still covers a true 280. That range comes from a hull built light for her displacement of 34 tonnes and propulsion chosen for efficiency as much as speed. New, she is priced from around 1,650,000 euros, positioning her as a serious cruising yacht rather than a marina ornament, one built for owners who actually intend to go somewhere.
