Azimut / Azimut Fly 70
The Azimut Fly 70 is a 21.47-metre flybridge motor yacht that brings the yard’s latest design language to the heart of the flybridge range. Drawn by Alberto Mancini, her exterior balances a sporting profile with the generous outdoor volumes owners expect at this size, including a terrace cockpit that seats up to eight and a full-beam flybridge for sunbathing, dining and helming in the open air.
Built in GRP with carbon-fibre reinforcement to keep weight down, the Fly 70 accommodates eight guests across four cabins, with a separate crew cabin aft. The interior is the work of Fabio Fantolino, who has given the living spaces a warm, contemporary feel with natural finishes and large windows that draw the sea inside. Four heads and a well-resolved galley make her a comfortable base for extended family cruising.
Twin Volvo Penta IPS 1350 engines deliver a planing performance of up to 31 knots, cruising comfortably around 25 knots, while the pod drives keep manoeuvring effortless in port. With a 3,900-litre fuel capacity and CE Category A certification, the Fly 70 is a capable and stylish all-rounder for owners stepping up within the Azimut flybridge family.

Thirty one knots from a flybridge yacht still turns heads.
Twin Volvo Penta IPS 1350 engines, paired with pod drives for effortless low speed handling, carry the Fly 70 to a 25 knot cruise and a 31 knot top end. Azimut’s Carbon Tech Generation construction keeps displacement to a lean 44.85 tonnes for a yacht of this size, sharpening both performance and efficiency. A 1.56 metre draught keeps her accessible to a wide range of marinas and anchorages, while a 3,900 litre fuel capacity supports comfortable cruising without constant refuelling stops. CE Category A certification confirms she is built for open water, not just coastal running.
Alberto Mancini draws a profile that is sporting without shouting about it.
Clean surfacing and a confident sheer line carry the Fly 70’s sporting intent down her full length, while generous outdoor volumes keep her true to flybridge tradition. Built in GRP with carbon fibre reinforcement to control weight, she balances the performance brief with the practical demands of family cruising. The result is a yacht that reads as athletic at the dock and reveals her outdoor ambitions only once you step aboard and find how much of her is actually given over to being outside.
She offers two different ways to live at the stern.
The standard Terrace Cockpit uses a transparent aft parapet to keep sightlines open across a dining area that seats eight, while an optional Beach Cockpit lowers the aft bench and opens the transom into a water level sunpad for swimming and tendering. Above, the flybridge is split into three distinct zones, a forward sunpad, a central C shaped dinette with its own wet bar, and an aft terrace that can take freestanding furniture to suit however the owner wants to use it. Few 70 footers offer this much choice in how the outdoor spaces actually work.
Fabio Fantolino brings warmth to a hull built for speed.
Natural finishes and large windows run through the main deck, where facing sofas, a dining area and the galley sit in an open, easy arrangement that draws the sea inside. Below, four cabins sleep eight guests, each served by its own head, with a separate cabin aft for the crew of two who run the yacht day to day. It is a layout built for extended family cruising rather than quick weekends, resolved enough that nothing aboard feels like a compromise for the sake of her performance.
She arrived at Cannes as part of a wider statement from Azimut.
The Fly 70 was one of four world premieres the yard brought to the Cannes Yachting Festival, engineered by Azimut R&D with naval architecture from P.L. Ausonio. Azimut’s Silent Technology Pure system cuts particulate emissions by around 95 percent and trims onboard noise by more than 5 dBA, a meaningful gain for anyone who spends long days at anchor. New build pricing starts from 3.5 million euros. For an owner stepping up within Azimut’s flybridge family, she offers genuine design ambition at a realistic point of entry.
