Nineteen knots wide open, fifteen at a settled cruise: the numbers of a boat built to be lived on, not raced.
A single 425 horsepower Cummins QSB6.7 drives the 35 through a semi displacement hull that tracks straight enough to leave the helm for long stretches without correction. She sits flat and stable at cruise, with no bow rise to fight, and bow and stern thrusters make her nimble at idle for tight marina work. With 800 litres of fuel and a 300 nautical mile range, she is built for genuine passages rather than short hops, and her fuel burn stays modest at cruising revolutions, the kind of efficiency that matters when the destination is measured in weeks, not hours.
The deck plan favours the person doing the work, not just the person enjoying the view.
An asymmetrical side deck keeps the port side narrow for easier starboard side manoeuvring, and a full glass, sliding helm door lets one person handle lines and docking without leaving the wheel. French door style openings connect the cockpit to the swim step, with seating built into the transom doors themselves. On the swim step, removable telescoping davits handle the dinghy, a simpler solution than the mast and boom rig this model once carried. Up top, the flybridge duplicates every control from the lower helm and adds a broad U shaped settee, giving owners a second, open air command position for warm weather passages.
Beneath the saloon floor sits an engine room built to be worked in, not just looked at.
A large, lift assisted hatch and a removable section of the saloon couch open full access to the Cummins diesel for major service, with oil, radiator and raw water filter all placed within reach. The generator sits externally for quieter running, and the main electrical panel, generator start and inverter controls are grouped behind a single aft saloon cabinet rather than scattered through the boat. It is the kind of below decks thinking that only comes from a builder refining an already proven model, addressing exactly the points owners raise after years of real use rather than guessing at what might matter.
Two cabins, one head, and a saloon that quietly does more than it first appears to.
The forward VIP holds a centreline queen berth with steps on both sides for easy access, a small but real improvement over the outgoing model. A second stateroom to port sleeps two in bunks, sharing a redesigned head where a magnetic closing door and a lowering bench keep the toilet clear of spray from the shower, a complaint from the previous generation now resolved. The saloon couch converts to a full berth with memory foam padding, and the dining table lifts off its pedestal to move out to the aft deck, freeing the saloon floor when guests are aboard. A continuous curtain system runs from the aft corner to the helm door, closing out light without breaking up the space.
Built by Beneteau Power under its own naval architecture and engineering, the Swift Trawler 35 carries the weight of a genuinely proven platform behind her.
She measures 11.3 metres overall on a 4 metre beam, drawing 1.2 metres and displacing 8.9 tonnes, with an 800 litre fuel tank supporting her 300 nautical mile range. Andreani Design handles both exterior and interior, giving the boat a consistent design language inside and out. New pricing starts from 320,000 euros, a considered figure for a trawler built around distance cruising rather than dockside display. She sleeps four and hosts eight for the day, sized for a couple or small family who plan to actually go somewhere in her, repeatedly, rather than admire her from a slip.
