Twin MTU diesels do the work quietly, and efficiently.
Standard power delivers a 27 knot cruise and a 31 knot top speed, with a 310 nautical mile range at cruise from a 7,100 litre tank. A 1.9 metre draught is shallow for a yacht this size, opening up anchorages a deeper draughted flybridge would have to skip, and the hull is engineered in-house by Ferretti’s own department, the same team behind every model in the current range. Nothing here is experimental. It is a well proven formula, tuned for this size of hull.
Studio Zuccon frames every window in black, and it changes how the whole hull reads.
The graphic detailing gives the 800 a sharper, more masculine edge than the models she replaces, without losing the glazing and light that define Ferretti’s current design language. The flybridge runs to around 11 square metres with an optional hardtop and sunroof for half covered comfort, flanked by buttressed side decks that keep movement forward secure. A foredeck terrace adds a further lounging area at the bow, so the outdoor space is spread across three distinct decks rather than concentrated in one.
Four cabins, four heads, laid out with no wasted corners.
The owner’s suite runs full beam with a forward facing berth and a walk-in closet, while a VIP cabin and two further guest cabins, both convertible between twin and double configuration, sit forward in the bow. Three crew cabins beneath the cockpit keep service separate from guest areas entirely, staffed by a crew of three. The interior palette uses dark stained oak veneers against midshade leathers, a warm, contemporary combination that avoids feeling either too formal or too casual.
The layout keeps living and dining together, the way most owners actually use a yacht.
Galley, saloon and lobby share a single level, with the lounge set aft and dining forward in a straightforward arrangement that keeps the space easy to navigate. The bridge sits two steps up, kept as dedicated crew territory rather than opening onto the guest deck. Day capacity reaches 20 guests, well above her overnight count of eight, making the 800 as capable for an afternoon of entertaining at anchor as she is for a week aboard with family.
The most accessible flybridge in Ferretti’s current range, without cutting corners on class.
At 65.5 tonnes displacement and priced from 4,200,000 Euros new, she sits below the 860 and well below the 940, while still carrying the same in-house naval architecture and engineering behind every yacht the yard builds. She replaces a model, the 780, that sold in serious numbers over its production run, and the 800 is built to continue that pattern rather than chase a different kind of buyer. For an owner’s first flybridge, or a step down from a larger yacht, she covers the fundamentals properly.
