Heysea Yachts has grown from a specialist Chinese builder into one of the larger producers of custom superyachts and catamarans over 24 metres. Founded in 2004 by a team of naval architects and engineers, the yard delivered its first boat, the Heysea 75, in 2007, and has since completed more than 100 yachts in composite, steel and aluminium. That output earned Heysea a place in the Boat International Global Order Book Top 30 for seven consecutive years from 2014, reaching twelfth worldwide in 2020.nnThe current range is organised around three ideas. The Asteria series is the yard’s semi-custom tri-deck line, from the 29-metre 96 up to the 43-metre 142 flagship, drawn by Italian studio VYD. The Vista programme is fully bespoke, built around a single owner’s brief. The Zoom series applies an axe bow to compact 18 to 23-metre hulls, buying interior volume well above conventional boats of the same length. Heysea has moved steadily into the European market, taking its first European superyacht and 35-metre Explorer contracts and adding five catamaran orders at Cannes in 2026.nnBuilt in China to international class, Heysea pairs serious yard capacity with semi-custom flexibility, positioning the brand as credible value in the mid-size superyacht field.
