Eight guests, a genuine galley, and a layout that stretches the definition of day boat.
At the bow, an electrically operated table converts into a sunbed and seats up to eight, set into an EVA foam deck that keeps footing sure when wet. The console houses a stainless steel fridge, and the custom double helm seat folds up to reveal a worktop and sink for the skipper. Aft, a proper galley adds a freshwater sink, food preparation station and a 12V fridge and freezer, while an electric flush toilet with a holding tank gives guests a genuine head rather than a bucket and curtain. A flip-up table behind the helm turns the cockpit into a dining space in moments, carrying the same practical thinking seen on the smaller Adrenalina models up to a genuinely usable scale.
Extreme deadrise and real beam give the 8.5 presence beyond her length.
The hull is built with vacuum-infused lamination and carries Hypalon tubes finished with protective covers, construction choices consistent across the Adrenalina range. Lomac has pushed the deadrise and beam further on this model than on the smaller 7.0 and 7.5, giving her the structural depth to handle open water with real authority. Structural towing points are built into the hull itself rather than added as an afterthought, and the anchor winch is fully concealed with the anchor mounting directly on the stem, keeping the bow clean. Pop-up cleats continue the lean, uncluttered deck language that runs through every Adrenalina model, scaled here to a genuinely substantial platform.
A forward cabin turns the 8.5 into the one Adrenalina you could actually stay aboard.
One cabin forward sleeps two, a genuine step beyond the open deck layout of the smaller 7.0 and 7.5, and enough to turn a long day on the water into an overnight at anchor. The guest head, with its electric flush toilet and holding tank, sits within the console rather than exposed on deck, giving it a proper sense of privacy. Storage inside the console also makes room for essentials and allows rear access to the dash for maintenance, a detail that matters on a boat built for genuine use rather than static display. It is not a cruising yacht’s accommodation, but for a sport RIB of this size, it is a real and useful addition.
Everything aft is built for movement between sea, deck and swim platform.
Large swim platforms with transom swim boards and a ladder make getting in and out of the water straightforward, while a sun pad and lounge at the stern give guests somewhere to relax once the anchor is down. A bow thruster, uncommon on a RIB of any size, takes the awkwardness out of close quarters berthing, a genuine convenience for an owner who plans to use the boat regularly rather than leave her on a mooring. The layout moves guests easily from the bow seating through the console to the aft lounge, with no pinch points along the way, a sign of a deck plan that has been properly thought through rather than simply scaled up from a smaller hull.
Twin engines and a 400 litre tank give the 8.5 real range to match her speed.
Twin Yamaha F250 outboards drive the standard specification, with twin Mercury Verado 300 or Suzuki DF300AP available as options for owners who want more in reserve. Cruising at 35 knots and capable of 50 at full throttle, she covers ground quickly without burning through her 400 litre fuel tank, which supports a 200 nautical mile range. A shallow 0.6 metre draught keeps the shallow anchorages and tight harbour entrances of the smaller Adrenalina models within reach, even with the added power and size. It is a specification built for an owner who wants to go further and stay longer, without giving up the speed that defines the range.
