She is quick without feeling nervous underway.
Twin inboard engines are standard, with a 300 horsepower Mercury Verado or a Yamaha F300 offered as alternatives for owners who want to tune the balance of range against outright speed. Cruising at 35 knots and reaching close to 50 at full throttle, she covers ground quickly without asking the crew to brace for it. A 600 litre fuel tank supports a 250 nautical mile range at cruise, comfortable for a full day’s running between fuel stops. Lomac builds the hull around what the yard calls hull supremacy, shaping it to either burn less fuel at a given speed or reach a higher speed on the same fuel, rather than chasing horsepower alone.
The console is the first thing a returning owner would notice has changed.
Redesigned for this generation, it stands taller and more muscular than before, a shift that hands the helm genuine extra headroom and shelter rather than just a new look. Pilot and co-pilot seats are shaped for comfort and stability when the boat is running hard, finished with a wrap around cushion and a handrail for moving safely through the cockpit. Forward, the bow sofa has grown more comfortable and spacious, integrated directly into the new dashboard rather than sitting apart from it, and finished in cushions with a distinctive, contrast edged design. The result is a silhouette that looks lower and more purposeful at rest than her predecessor.
A deep, walk around deck makes her easy to move across at any speed.
The cockpit sits low in the hull for a settled, protected ride, with a centre console and a walk around deck giving safe passage forward without climbing over seating. A central opening lifts to reveal a generous C shaped locker, useful for fenders, lines or simply the gear a day on the water accumulates. A wet bar with its own sink and a transom shower cover the practical side of entertaining and rinsing off after a swim, and an inset grab rail doubles as a fender holder when coming alongside. Large sundecks fore and aft, plus a foldaway table that seats nine or folds away into an additional sun deck, give the boat real flexibility between entertaining and relaxing.
Below decks, she offers rather more than a RIB this size usually promises.
A single cabin holds a double berth for two, sized for a genuine night at anchor rather than an occasional nap. It opens onto its own separate bathroom, fitted with a marine toilet, a full height shower and a washbasin, a specification closer to a small cruiser than a sport RIB. The cockpit’s own refrigerator and sink mean drinks and lunch stay close at hand without a trip below, while the tube height around the boat is kept generous enough for safe, confident movement on deck even underway. Eight day guests can be comfortably accommodated, with two staying aboard overnight.
Six hundred litres of fuel buys genuine independence.
At her 35 knot cruise, the standard tank supports around 250 nautical miles before a refuel is needed, enough to cover a full coastal day trip or a short island hop without planning around a marina. That range, paired with a cabin built for an overnight stay, lets an owner treat the 10.5 as a proper short range cruiser rather than a boat that must return to the dock each evening. Lomac’s in-house design and engineering teams carry the same hull philosophy through the whole GranTurismo range, so the balance of speed and efficiency found here is a deliberate choice rather than a happy accident. It is this combination, performance, comfort and real range in one hull, that defines her place in the lineup.
