More Yachts / More 55
The More 55 takes everything that makes the smaller Mores so likeable and scales it up into a proper flagship. At 16.70 metres overall on a 16.00-metre hull, with a full 5.00-metre beam and a 2.70-metre keel carrying 5,300 kilograms of ballast, she has the volume and stability for serious cruising while staying true to Maurizio Cossutti’s fast, modern hull shape. Light displacement is 15,300 kilograms.
The rig is sized to match: an 88.90-square-metre mainsail and 80.15-square-metre genoa for all-round work, backed by a 220-square-metre spinnaker for the downwind legs. A Yanmar diesel of 80 or 110 horsepower provides auxiliary power, with fuel split across two tanks for 550 litres total and 750 litres of fresh water in two more — capacity that reflects her blue-water intentions.
Accommodation is where the 55 shows her range: three, four or five cabins and up to thirteen berths in a 10+2+1 layout, enough for a cruising family, a charter party or a delivery crew. The saloon is bright and sociable, the galley built for passages, and the owner’s options run from a performance-minded three-cabin interior to a charter-ready five-cabin plan. On deck, twin wheels, a deep cockpit and generous side decks keep her manageable for a couple yet ready for a full watch system offshore. Built to order in Dugopolje, the More 55 is offered from around €650,000 excluding VAT (estimated).

With 15,300 kg displacement, 5,300 kg of ballast and an 88.9 m² main over an 80 m² genoa, the More 55 has the power and stability for fast passage-making. A 220 m² spinnaker handles the downwind work, and the Cossutti hull keeps her easily driven for her size.
The flagship hull carries a 5.00 m beam well aft and a long waterline for speed, topped by a clean deck with twin wheels and a deep, secure cockpit. The styling is unmistakably More: modern, understated and built around sailing performance.
Three, four or five cabins and up to thirteen berths (10+2+1) make the 55 the most versatile boat in the range — a three-cabin owner’s layout for fast cruising, or a five-cabin plan for charter and family use, around a bright saloon and a seagoing galley.
Generous side decks, a large cockpit and a fold-down transom suit life at anchor, while the twin-wheel helm stations and well-organised sail controls let a couple handle her and a full crew race her.
Built to order in Croatia with twin fuel tanks (550 litres) and twin water tanks (750 litres) for genuine range, the More 55 is powered by a Yanmar 80 or 110 hp saildrive. Indicative pricing is around €650,000 excluding VAT (estimated; a used 2016 example is listed at EUR310,000 ex-VAT).
