Three thousand nautical miles is the number that defines the 30XP.
Twin MAN diesels, rated around 560 horsepower each in standard specification, settle her at a steady 12 knots cruise, with 14 available at full throttle when conditions call for it. Drawing from 12,000 litres of fuel, that cruise speed carries her across a genuine 3,000 nautical mile range, enough for an owner to plan an ocean crossing rather than a coastal hop. A 2.2 metre draught is deep for an explorer of this size, the trade off for the volume and stability a 30 metre hull offers, but it still opens far more anchorages than a conventional motor yacht of comparable length.
The raised pilothouse is the detail that sets the 30XP apart from every flybridge yacht near her length.
Can Yalman’s exterior builds the wheelhouse up and into the superstructure rather than stacking a flybridge above a conventional saloon, trading a little open air steering for genuine command height and all round visibility underway. Forward, a generous sunpad gives the foredeck real presence, while aft, a wide beach club with folding bulwarks turns the stern into proper swim platform space rather than an afterthought. The sundeck runs the full length of the yacht without steps, a small detail that makes a real difference to anyone moving deck to deck in a swell.
The 30XP is engineered the way an explorer yacht should be, for endurance first.
Her hull and superstructure are built in FRP composite, kept light enough that the standard twin MAN engines can still deliver real range rather than just real displacement. Fin stabilisers hold her steady underway and at rest, and the engineering runs entirely in house, from naval architecture through systems integration, with Numarine’s own team responsible for the build from first composite layup to delivery. It is a yacht engineered to be self sufficient over weeks away from a marina, not just capable of a single long weekend offshore.
Ten guests across five cabins is a generous ratio for a 30 metre yacht, and the 30XP spends it well.
The owner’s suite sits forward on the main deck, away from the engine noise and close to the water through floor to ceiling glazing, with its own private balcony opening the cabin straight onto the sea. Four further guest cabins occupy the lower deck, with the aft suites given the larger share of the space. A crew of five works from their own quarters forward, with a separate mess keeping their routine away from guest areas entirely. It is a layout built for owners who use their yacht for real stretches of time, not weekend hops between marinas.
The 30XP is the flagship of Numarine’s XP trio, and she is specified to carry that position.
Built at the yard’s own facility in Turkey, she carries RINA classification for unrestricted navigation, a serious credential for an owner planning real ocean passages rather than coastal cruising. Demand has followed the same pattern as the rest of the explorer line, with several hulls already sold to owners stepping up from the smaller 22 and 26 metre models, evidence that the formula scales convincingly rather than losing its character at larger volume. Between the engineering, the five cabin layout and the full 3,000 mile range, she represents the most complete expression yet of Numarine’s explorer thinking.
