Omikron OT-80
The Omikron OT-80 takes the thinking behind the award-winning OT-60 and scales it up into a full displacement cruising yacht of 24 metres, built for owners who want to live aboard for weeks at a time rather than days. Where the 60 is a sophisticated weekender and coastal cruiser, the 80 is conceived as a long-range family yacht, with the volume, autonomy and crewed service of a superyacht in a hull that stays efficient, quiet and easy to run.
As with the smaller boat, the naval architecture is by Juan Kouyoumdjian, whose offshore pedigree underpins a hull designed for sea-kindliness and economy rather than high planing speeds. The emphasis is on a long, easily driven hull that carries its volume well and holds a comfortable cruising speed on modest power, so that the OT-80 can cross meaningful distances without the fuel burn and noise of a fast motor yacht. The composite hull and superstructure keep weight in check and allow the generous glazing and open deck spaces that define the Omikron look.
Lorenzo Argento is again responsible for both the exterior styling and the interior, giving the OT-80 a coherent design language from waterline to hardtop. The exterior is calm and horizontal, with large windows, protected deck areas and the same flush, connected deck philosophy that made the 60 feel so much larger than its length. Outdoor living is central to the concept, with social spaces arranged so that guests move easily between sun and shade and stay in contact with the sea.
Accommodation is where the OT-80 makes its case as a true cruising yacht. The interior sleeps up to ten guests across five en-suite cabins, in a layout of two master suites, one VIP and two twin cabins, with six guest heads plus a dedicated day head. A separate crew area accommodates up to three, in two cabins with their own heads, so the boat can be run with professional service while keeping guest and crew circulation discreetly apart. The arrangement of three double and four single berths gives families and charter-style groups real flexibility.
The OT-80 is designed expressly for cruising and weekending, and its systems and tankage are sized for genuine autonomy away from the dock. Omikron builds the yacht in Greece to order, so each hull can be specified around its owner’s cruising grounds and preferences, from engine package to interior finish. At the time of writing the full published technical package, including final beam, draft, engine selection and performance figures, is still being confirmed by the yard as the first hulls progress through build, and pricing is established on a project basis.
For a buyer drawn to the explorer-yacht idea but put off by the weight, complexity and running costs of a steel expedition vessel, the OT-80 offers an appealing middle path: a light, efficient, beautifully styled composite yacht with five-cabin accommodation, long legs and the same original design philosophy that earned the OT-60 its Boat of the Year title. It is a yacht for owners who measure a boat by how far it can take them in comfort, and by how much of the day they can spend outside, rather than by the number on the speedometer.

The OT-80 extends the OT-60 philosophy into a full live-aboard cruising yacht of 24 metres, trading a few knots of pace for volume, autonomy and crewed comfort.
Ten guests are housed across two masters, a VIP and two twin cabins, all en suite, with separate quarters for up to three crew so service and privacy are kept distinct.
A light composite hull and superstructure over a Juan Kouyoumdjian platform give the explorer-yacht reach without the weight and cost of a steel expedition vessel.
Each OT-80 is built in Greece to the owners specification. Final beam, draft, engine package and pricing are confirmed by the yard on a project basis as hulls progress.
