Palm Beach PB85 For Sale

The Palm Beach PB85 is a milestone motor yacht from the celebrated Australian builder, delivering uncompromised living spaces and elite cruising efficiency at 27.55 metres. Available in Sedan, Flybridge, and Skylounge configurations, she offers up to five luxurious staterooms for guests and crew, with a level of customisation that ensures no two yachts leave the factory the same. Drawing inspiration from the clean practicality of Maine lobster boats while incorporating modern performance demands, the PB85 pairs timeless Downeast aesthetics with serious offshore capability.

At her heart is Palm Beach’s proprietary V-WARP Technology — a warped semi-displacement hull form crafted from high-grade E-Glass with epoxy resins and extensive carbon fiber, fused directly to the structure, bulkheads, deck, and superstructure. The hull’s fine entry, graceful curvature amidships, and minimal deadrise at the transom achieve a consistent running angle across different speeds, delivering a remarkably comfortable ride. Standard power comes from twin Volvo IPS 1350S engines producing 2,000 horsepower, pushing her to a 26-knot top speed with a 23-knot cruise and 700 nautical mile range — using less than half the fuel of most similar-sized vessels. An optional twin MAN V8 package raises output to 2,600 horsepower for a 27.5-knot top.

Designed by founder and champion ocean racer Mark Richards, the PB85 carries his racing DNA through every line. The spacious cockpit creates an exceptionally comfortable entertainment area, while meticulously planned internal layouts with fused bulkheads and fixed furniture ensure enhanced rigidity and intelligent use of every inch. Sold factory-direct, each yacht is tailored precisely to the owner’s vision under the hands-on supervision of Richards and his team.
