Her hull was drawn to disappear under load, not just to look fast at the dock.
Zuccheri Yacht Design gave the Pardo 43 a variable deadrise, steep at the bow to slice into a head sea and flattening progressively toward the transom for stability at rest and at speed. Twin Volvo Penta IPS 500 engines drive her to a 25 knot cruise and a 35 knot top speed as standard, with IPS 600 units available for owners who want more in hand. Pod drive steering keeps her tight in a turn and precise alongside a berth, while 1,200 litres of fuel and a 300 nautical mile range mean the coastline stays open rather than dictated by the next fuel stop.
Carbon fibre appears here as standard equipment, not an option box ticked for effect.
The T-top is built entirely from carbon, keeping weight low over the helm in a hull that already benefits from vinylester resin infusion and foam sandwich construction through the deck and topsides. It is boatbuilding technique carried directly from Cantiere del Pardo’s sailing yachts, where every kilogram removed from the structure returns as speed or range. On deck, the 4.2 metre beam is carried well aft, giving the cockpit real width for entertaining without compromising the sharp, low profile that marks every Pardo hull from a distance.
Two cabins, one clear idea: comfort should not require size.
The forward cabin holds a proper double berth beneath the walkaround deck, with sitting headroom and a separate head and shower compartment nearby. A second cabin handles guests or crew depending on how an owner runs her, and the whole interior is finished by Pardo’s own team in a choice of timber tones, fabrics and synthetic teak decking, so no two 43s need look alike below deck. Four can sleep aboard in comfort, while up to twelve gather above for lunch or sundowners, the kind of ratio that suits an owner who cruises by day and returns to a marina, or a private mooring, most nights.
Everything below the waterline on the Pardo 43 was engineered by a department that answers to one shipyard alone.
Zuccheri Yacht Design handled the naval architecture and exterior lines, while Cantiere del Pardo’s own engineering department resolved the structure, systems and the twin IPS installation at her heart. At a light displacement of 10,500 kilograms, she carries her weight low and central, which shows in how little she rolls at rest and how quickly she settles onto the plane. This was the first powerboat the shipyard built after four decades in sailing yachts, and the caution shows in the right places: nothing here feels rushed to market.
A yacht built for reaching somewhere, not just leaving the marina for the afternoon.
With 1,200 litres of usable fuel and a cruising speed of 25 knots, the Pardo 43 covers 300 nautical miles between fills, enough to string together several days of island hopping or a single long passage without planning around a fuel dock. Her 1.05 metre draught keeps shallow anchorages and quieter coves within reach, water a deeper hulled yacht of similar length would have to anchor off and tender in from. Combined with a 35 knot top speed for the days when the forecast changes, she gives an owner the flexibility to cruise slowly or cover ground quickly, on the same tank, in the same yacht.
