Endurance is the whole idea, and every choice serves it.
The E72 rides on a warped hull whose deadrise decreases towards the stern, a shape that trims early, stays level and shrugs off a short, choppy sea. Twin Volvo Penta IPS engines, the 1200 as standard and the 1350 as an option, drive her to 25 knots at cruise and 30 flat out, with the effortless low speed manoeuvring that pod drives allow. A 4,000 litre tank gives a working range of around 300 nautical miles, and six external cameras take the guesswork out of coming alongside. She is not built to be the fastest yacht on the bay. She is built to make the long way round feel easy.
Her profile could belong to nothing else afloat.
The inverted bow, the forward leaning superstructure and the run of parallelogram hull windows are pure Pardo, and on the E72 they wrap a great deal more volume than the line has carried before. Fold down bulwarks open the side decks into terraces over the water, while the aft cockpit seating converts to a sunpad above the swim platform. Forward, the foredeck holds sunpads with moveable backrests that follow the sun. Above, an open topped flybridge runs beneath an electric bimini, with a fixed T top available for owners who want permanent shade. Every deck finds its own way down to the sea.
Three cabins, eight guests, and a full beam owner’s suite placed where the yacht is calmest.
The layout puts the master amidships and full across the beam, the most stable point in any hull, with twin vanities and a separate shower and heads. A VIP and further guest accommodation complete a plan that sleeps eight in comfort, served by two crew. A dedicated staircase keeps the owner’s route private from the rest of the yacht. Pardo’s own design team has kept the mood quiet and tactile: matt walnut in a soft grey, chevron fabrics in warm beige and rust accents that catch the light. Floor to ceiling sliding doors fold the saloon and cockpit into one long, open space.
On the E72 the boundary between inside and out very nearly disappears.
Floor to ceiling glazing and sliding doors join the saloon to the aft cockpit, so a single, level living space runs from the dining table out to the open air. The fold down bulwarks add balconies at the waterline on both sides, and the foredeck becomes a second lounge when the anchor is down. Move up to the flybridge and the whole plan opens again, shaded, social and set apart from the main deck below. It is a yacht arranged for long, slow days at anchor as much as for the passage between them, with somewhere to sit whatever the sun is doing.
A new direction for Pardo, resolved and ready rather than experimental.
She measures 22 metres on a 5.4 metre beam and displaces around 45 tonnes, substantial enough to feel planted yet light enough to stay efficient under way. Twin Volvo Penta IPS drives, a 4,000 litre fuel supply and a 1,200 litre water tank underpin genuinely self sufficient cruising, and the pod installation keeps both the engine room compact and the handling simple. From around 3.5 million euros she opens Pardo’s Endurance thinking to owners who have grown out of the day boat and want to spend real time aboard. For a buyer who values the journey over the arrival, the E72 answers directly.
