The Escape 32 is the open half of a pair. It shares its hull with the Archipelago 32 and the same twelve-person capacity, but where that boat closes itself in behind a convertible pilot house, the Escape stays a day yacht: a T-top, a built-in windscreen, and a cockpit you can walk all the way around.

Danish restraint runs through it. Flat teak, pale upholstery, a helm console carrying no more instrumentation than it needs. The T-top seating and helm area still enclose fully when the weather turns, which is the trick that lets a 32-footer work in northern Europe as well as it does in the Adriatic.

Propulsion is unusually open. Two E-DRIVE electric packages give 270 kW with a 130 kWh battery or 300 kW with 220 kWh, both good for 35 knots, covering 150 and 240 kilometres at eight knots. Buyers who want combustion can take twin Mercury F250 outboards, MerCruiser 6.2-litre petrol, or a Mercury 3.0-litre diesel, with a ceiling of 45 knots.

The cockpit holds a hardtop-protected galley and dining area, and the bow converts to a tanning space. Below sits a cabin for two with its own heads and shower, which turns a long day into a weekend.

At 3,200 kg the boat trailers behind a car, and for a Scandinavian owner chasing a coastline that runs for thousands of islands, that is half the argument.
