Sanlorenzo launches the 58Steel as its first diesel-electric superyacht in the Steel range, introducing E-Pod propulsion that cuts emissions by roughly ten per cent and unlocks up to two hours of silent cruising under electric power alone. At 58.25 metres overall and 1,165 gross tonnes, the hull carries enough volume for a full-beam owner’s suite, four guest cabins and quarters for thirteen crew, while the 11.25-metre beam gives the naval architects room for an interior layout that flows without chokepoints. Two 850 kW E-Pods drive the steel hull to 15 knots, drawing from an 80,000-litre fuel reserve that supports transatlantic passages and extended Mediterranean seasons. At anchor, the hybrid system delivers up to eight hours of zero-emission hotel mode, powering air conditioning, galley and lighting without running generators. Zuccon International Project shaped the exterior profile, balancing a raked bow and a three-deck superstructure with signature Sanlorenzo restraint: clean gunwale lines, flush glazing and minimal hardware. The Sanlorenzo style department handled the interior, offering owners a palette of natural stones, matte timbers and brushed metals. A stern beach club, a foredeck jacuzzi and a tender garage sized for a seven-metre chase boat round out the outdoor programme. The 58Steel marks a technological milestone for La Spezia, proving that diesel-electric can scale to superyacht proportions without compromising the quiet, low-vibration experience Sanlorenzo owners expect.
