Three engines on the transom, one calm, confident boat underway.
Triple Mercury 300hp V8 Verado outboards come standard, with a more powerful Triple Mercury 400hp V10 option for owners who want extra headroom in reserve. Cruising speed holds at 25 knots and she will reach 35 knots at the top, while range stretches to 300 nautical miles, fifty miles further than her sterndrive sister thanks to the efficiency of outboard propulsion. Triple engines also mean genuine redundancy offshore: lose one and two still bring her home. Optional joystick piloting and gyro stabilisation sharpen close quarters handling and settle the ride further still.
With the engines moved aft, the whole stern opens up.
An expansive bow lounge with deep, supportive seating anchors the forward deck, and an optional teak table converts it into a full sun pad for the middle of the day. An electric sunroof with fixed overhead skylights keeps the saloon bright without losing shelter, and large hullside windows carry that light below. The swim platform now offers water access from both corners rather than one, a direct benefit of clearing the hull of inboard machinery, and the helm sits to starboard with a clear walkway to the bow along the port side.
Everything about the cockpit is built to flip between driving and entertaining.
The transom seat backrest swings forward to create an aft facing lounge, and a filler cushion turns the same space into a sun pad minutes later. A broad galley counter is built for buffet style serving rather than fine dining, backed by a microwave and a fridge for genuine self sufficiency through the day. With room for twelve guests, four more than her sterndrive sibling, and no crew required to run her, she is built around sociability first: a boat for owners who want to host, not supervise.
Below deck, she still sleeps four in proper comfort.
Two cabins cover the basics well: a forward lounge that converts to a double sleeper, and a midcabin U-shaped settee that folds down into a second double berth. Woodgrain cabinet bases, teak companionway steps and a light coloured cabin sole keep the mood warm rather than clinical, and a separate head with a shower stall means overnight guests are properly looked after rather than merely accommodated. Large hullside windows bring daylight below even at anchor, so the cabins never feel like an afterthought to the deck spaces above.
Three hundred nautical miles and no crew required: this is the Sundancer built for independence.
A 50 nautical mile range advantage over her sterndrive sister comes directly from the efficiency of outboard propulsion, and the triple engine layout adds a genuine safety margin for longer offshore legs. A 1 metre draught keeps shallow anchorages within reach despite the extra range, and an optional running surface trim system helps her hold an efficient attitude at cruising speed rather than fighting the water. For an owner planning longer weekends away from base, with no crew to coordinate, she is the more self sufficient half of the Sundancer 370 range.
