Twenty eight knots from a flagship this size is no small thing.
The standard twin MTU 12V 2000 M96L engines are enough for most owners, though a high power option in the 16V 2000 M96L is available for those who want the extra knots. Cruising settles at 24 knots, and a hard chine hull gets her onto the plane without fuss. A draught of 2.1 metres keeps her out of the shallowest anchorages, but the trade is worth it: 12,800 litres of fuel give a genuine 1,300 nautical mile range, enough to cross open water without a second thought about the next fuel dock. At just under 100 tonnes displacement, she carries her size with real composure.
The bow rises higher than most, and the whole profile reads like an arrowhead pointed at the horizon.
A steeply raked pilothouse windshield sits low in that profile, and dark glazing along the hull visually stretches her length still further. The flybridge is a genuine walkaround, level with the foredeck bar for one small step, so moving fore and aft never means doubling back through the saloon. A carbon fibre and fibreglass hardtop keeps weight down high on the boat, and aft, the X-TEND transom does the work of three different features in one: it folds out into extra lounging space, opens to swallow water toys, and drops flush to the sea to form a beach platform. Few builders have found a cleaner way to solve the same problem.
The owner’s cabin does not share the main deck with anyone else, and that is entirely the point.
Sunseeker broke from a symmetrical layout to give the suite its own private terrace at the bow, reached through sliding glass doors, with a stair up to the flybridge close at hand. The en suite runs to a double vanity and a rain shower, and headroom throughout is generous even by the standards of a yacht this size. Below deck, four further cabins take the guest count to ten, several with berths that convert between twin and double configurations depending on who is aboard. Five crew are housed separately with their own mess, keeping service efficient without it ever being visible.
Nothing interrupts the main salon, not a step, not a bulkhead, just glass from floor to ceiling and space to move.
The galley sits fully enclosed rather than open plan, with eight burners, generous counter space and refrigeration built for real provisioning rather than weekend trips. Up on the flybridge, a U shaped dining spot with a teak table sits alongside sunpads and, for owners who want it, a jacuzzi. The helm is raised into its own pilothouse, a Besenzoni captain’s chair at the centre and a second helm station available for those who prefer redundancy. Below, sound deadening around the engine room keeps the noise where it belongs, out of the guest spaces.
Every line above the waterline and every finish below it comes from Sunseeker’s own studios, hull to helm.
Hulls are hand laid rather than sprayed into a mould, a slower process that gives the yard tighter control over the finish than volume production allows. That craft has found buyers well beyond home waters, with hulls delivered across the Mediterranean, the Americas and as far as South Korea. Naval architecture, exterior lines and interior design all sit under one roof, which is why the yacht reads as a single coherent idea rather than a collection of good ideas stitched together. For an owner who wants a flagship with a genuine point of difference at the stern and on the main deck, the 100 Yacht delivers on both.
