PENGUINS is a Sanlorenzo SD90, delivered new in 2025 and cruising Italy and the wider west Mediterranean. She measures 27 metres on a 7.0 metre beam and carries the quiet, restrained look Sanlorenzo has built its name on: a plumb bow, a long low hull and a flybridge that sits lightly on top. Her displacement hull is made for level, unhurried cruising rather than speed, so she holds an easy pace between anchorages and stays calm and quiet whether she is under way or lying off a beach.
Ten guests sleep in four cabins. The owner takes a full beam suite forward on the main deck, a large bed between windows on both sides with a mirrored wardrobe wall, a seating area and a bathroom of its own. Below are a VIP double, a further convertible cabin that adapts to how a group is travelling, and a twin with a Pullman berth, each with its own bathroom. A crew of five runs the yacht and keeps the service quiet and out of the way.
The main deck is one open room in warm oak and cream. A long sofa sits aft under soft cushions with glass down the side to the deck, a second group of low chairs gathers forward beside an oak drinks cabinet, and a round stone table stands at the forward end for meals, the whole space carrying the calm, considered hand the yard is known for. Light comes in from three sides and the room reads as bright and quiet at once.
Outside, the flybridge is the heart of the yacht in the sun. It runs the width of the deck with a full dining table, a run of sun pads and a piece of gym kit set out in the open air, a single space that covers lunch in the shade, an afternoon in the sun and a workout with a view. The main deck aft carries its own shaded sun pads and a small seating group a step above the water, and the swim platform drops down for easy access to the sea.
A tender and a spread of watersports gear come with the yacht for guests who want to be in the water. The SD90 is built for a particular kind of charter: quiet, level days at an easy pace, moving from one anchorage to the next along the Italian coast and the Ligurian riviera, with the calm of a displacement yacht and the finish of a modern Sanlorenzo. PENGUINS suits a family or a group of friends who value that steadiness and the restrained, warm interior over speed and show, and who want a yacht that reads as calm from the moment they step aboard.
Her cruising ground plays to those strengths. From the Ligurian ports of Viareggio, La Spezia and Genoa she is within easy reach of the Cinque Terre, Portofino and the islands off the Tuscan coast, and a longer week opens the run south toward the Amalfi coast and the bays of Capri. With her volume, her quiet ride and her balance of shaded and open deck, PENGUINS turns those passages into part of the holiday rather than something to get through, and the crew keep the rhythm of the days relaxed from start to finish.
