CORAL OCEAN Yacht Charter

CORAL OCEAN is a 72 metre Lurssen with a rare kind of pedigree. She was drawn by Jon Bannenberg, the designer who did more than anyone to define the modern superyacht, and delivered in 1994 as one of his landmark hulls. Rather than let a yacht of that provenance date, her owner took her back to the yard for a rebuild completed in 2022, a project that went far beyond a refit and left her, in effect, a new yacht inside a classic profile. The long, low Bannenberg line still reads as clean and current from across an anchorage, while everything behind it, from the systems to the finish, belongs to this decade.

She is built for distance. A steel displacement hull of this size crosses oceans quietly and lies steady at anchor, and her range is what lets her run a genuine two ocean season, working the Mediterranean through the summer and crossing to the Caribbean for the winter under her own power. A crew of twenty two runs her, a number that speaks to the level of service a yacht of this class is set up to deliver, and the volume of a 72 metre means the service spaces stay well clear of the guest areas so the yacht feels calm and private throughout.

Twelve guests sleep in seven cabins. The owner takes a wide, light master with a large bed below a padded wall, windows close on both sides and a private marble bathroom, a room with the volume of a far larger yacht. The layout runs on through a VIP double, further doubles and twins below, each with an ensuite, several able to reset between double and twin as the guest list changes. It is a genuine full house of accommodation, which is what suits her to a large family or a group of friends taking a long charter together.

Inside, the rebuild kept the sense of a grand yacht while lightening the mood. The main salon is pale and calm, soft seating gathered on a light rug with glass down both sides and full doors aft that open the room to the sea at anchor. A long dining table seats the whole complement under a soft lit ceiling, and a quieter sky lounge on the upper deck gives the group a second inside room with its own bar. There is a spa aboard as well, with a treatment room and a hammam, the kind of dedicated wellness space that even large yachts often go without.

Outside is arranged over four levels for a yacht that spends its life at anchor in warm water. A pool sits into the open deck among sun pads and shade, the social heart of a hot afternoon, and the aft decks layer shaded dining and lounge seating close to the swim platform and the toys. The sun deck opens out above with loungers and a bar, and there are quiet corners on every level to slip away to. A full spread of tenders and watersports gear comes with the yacht, launched off the stern for a day spent in the sea rather than beside it.

Her season is built around two of the best cruising grounds there are. Through the summer she works the western Mediterranean, from the French Riviera and Monaco across to the Italian coast and north into Croatia and the Adriatic, and for the winter she crosses to the Caribbean, ranging through Antigua, the Bahamas and Saint Barths where the water is warm and the anchorages run for miles. With her pedigree, her volume and her large crew, CORAL OCEAN suits a family or a group who want a serious yacht that can follow the sun across the world without ever feeling like a compromise.
