MASTERMIND is a 20 metre Lagoon Sixty 7, a power catamaran delivered in 2023 and easy to pick out on the water with her deep red hulls. Lagoon built its name on cruising catamarans, and the Sixty 7 brings that thinking to a motor yacht: two slender hulls, a wide bridge deck and an efficient, level ride that turns a modest length into a surprising amount of usable space. For a family or a group of friends who want room and steadiness without the cost of a much larger yacht, she is a well judged choice.
The twin hull layout is the whole point. It gives her a planted, level feel at anchor that a single hull of this size cannot match, so meals and nights aboard stay comfortable even when the sea gets up, and it frees a great deal of deck and interior space across the bridge deck. She is notably fuel efficient for her volume, which keeps a week aboard affordable, and a crew of three runs her, including a dedicated chef, unusual and welcome on a yacht of this size.
Eight guests sleep in four double cabins, spread through the two hulls so each has real privacy. The master takes a full hull with its own bathroom, and the three further doubles carry the same warm palette of pale timber and soft neutrals, each with an ensuite and hull windows close to the water. Four equal double cabins suit four couples travelling together, or a family who want the children comfortable in their own space, and the layout keeps everyone close without anyone on top of one another.
Inside, the main deck is one bright, open room. The saloon, the galley and the dining area sit together on a single level, wrapped in glass so the sea is in view all round, and the country galley is kept in the same space as the guests so the crew chef works among the party rather than hidden below. Pale seating gathers around a low table, a dining table seats the whole group, and the whole room opens straight out to the aft cockpit when she settles at anchor.
Outside is generous for her length. The aft cockpit is a shaded outdoor lounge level with the sea, the flybridge carries seating and a dining table under a hardtop for meals and drinks up top, and the foredeck between the hulls gives an open sun lounge with a trampoline and the water close on three sides. A dinghy, a Seabob, paddle boards and water skis come with her, launched off the stern for the days spent swimming and playing off the yacht.
Her home water is Croatia and the Adriatic islands, and she is well matched to it. The Dalmatian coast runs in a long chain of clear anchorages and old stone towns from Split and Hvar down to Dubrovnik, the islands sit close together, and her shallow draft and steady platform let her lie in close where a deeper yacht cannot. With her four equal cabins, her flybridge and her easy, efficient cruising, MASTERMIND suits a family or a group of friends who want a relaxed, sociable week on one of the finest coasts in the Mediterranean.
