Marine Technology Inc. builds high-performance catamarans and V-bottom center consoles from its facility in Wentzville, Missouri. Founded by Randy Scism, MTI earned its reputation on the offshore racing circuit before expanding into the pleasure and military markets. The current lineup covers four series: the MTI-V center consoles (42 to 57 feet), the Racing Series catamaran (48 and 52 feet), the RP Pleasure Series catamaran (43 to 52 feet), and the Outboard Cats (34X to 440X). Construction uses vacuum-infused composite with carbon-fibre reinforcement throughout, keeping weight down while Mercury Racing and other high-output powerplants push these hulls past 100 mph in race trim. Each boat is built to order with owner-specified rigging, paint, and power, and the annual output is measured in dozens rather than hundreds.
