GranOcean / GranOcean W-60
GranOcean’s W-60 power catamaran brings superyacht ambition to a sub-20-metre hull. Designed by Howard Apollonio with composite construction engineered by Gurit SP, the twin-hull platform delivers a beam of 8.70 metres that opens up living volumes usually reserved for yachts ten metres longer. VRIPACK’s interiors are available in four curated palettes, each shaped around the owner’s brief rather than a fixed catalogue.
Three layout families cover the range: a three-cabin owner’s edition with a full-beam master suite set low in the port hull, a four-cabin arrangement built for extended family cruising or charter revenue, and an enclosed-flybridge variant that adds a climate-controlled helm lounge above the main deck. Every version places the galley and saloon on the main level, with full walkaround side decks feeding a generous foredeck lounge.
Construction relies on closed-cell foam-cored composite panels reinforced with carbon in high-load areas, keeping displacement low without sacrificing stiffness. Propulsion is owner-specified: conventional shaft drive, hybrid, or fully electric drivetrains can be fitted to match the intended cruising programme. A shallow 1.20-metre draft opens anchorages that deeper monohulls cannot reach.
The W-60 sits at the entry point of GranOcean’s W-Series, offering the same design philosophy and build quality as the larger W-72 and W-86 in a more accessible footprint.
