SCARLET is a thirty one metre Azimut, a flybridge motor yacht from 2008 brought up to date in a 2019 refit, built for fast, sociable cruising between Florida and the Bahamas. She looks after seven guests across three cabins with a crew of four, and she balances real pace with the volume and the easy living of a larger yacht.
Her point of difference is speed with space. Twin MTU engines give her a top end near thirty one knots and a comfortable cruise around twenty four, so a run across to the islands or up the coast is a short, dry passage rather than a long day at sea. A dining area sits close by for meals aboard out of the heat, and a step up a separate sky lounge gives a second interior living space, a calm retreat with its own screen and seating. The finish is warm timber against pale upholstery with soft accent colour, considered rather than busy.
Accommodation is arranged over three cabins for seven guests. The master suite is a generous, full beam room amidships with its own ensuite, finished in warm wood with good natural light. A double cabin and a twin cabin look after the rest of the party, each private and well stored with its own facilities, the kind of rooms that make a week aboard feel easy. The twin converts readily for children or friends sharing.
Under way she is a quick, assured planing yacht, happy to push on when the plan changes and just as content at an economical cruise for a longer run. Her natural ground is Florida in the cooler months and the Bahamas through the summer, clear water, quiet cays and the easy rhythm of island cruising, with Miami and its marinas a short hop away for the start and end of a trip.
