Otam / Otam 90 HT
The Otam 90 HT is the enclosed-bridge sister to the yard’s 90 GTS, a 27.75 metre semi-custom sportsyacht built for owners who want the same 44 knot performance with the shelter and security of a fixed hardtop. Like the whole fast range, she rides a deep-V hull drawn by Umberto Tagliavini and dressed by Giuseppe Bagnardi of BG Design, and she is laid up in Aramat and GRP or full Kevlar for a light, stiff structure.
Power is serious. Twin MTU 16V2000M96L diesels of 2,600 horsepower each drive Arneson ASD 15 surface drives, giving a 44 knot top speed and a 38 knot cruise that put her among the fastest yachts of her size. The hard top adds all-weather usability without blunting the sporting character: owners can run fast in open water and still cruise comfortably in cooler climates or at night.
Accommodation is semi-custom, with three, four or five cabin layouts available below. The first-class build quality Otam is known for carries through, and every 90 HT is specified to its owner rather than pulled from a series line.
For a buyer who loves the Otam formula but wants a coupe rather than an open sportsyacht, the 90 HT delivers the same adrenaline in a more sheltered, four-season package.

Speed defines the 90 HT. Twin MTU 16V2000M96L diesels of 2,600 horsepower each drive Arneson ASD 15 A1S surface drives for a top speed of 44 knots and a 38 knot cruise, figures that put her in rare company at nearly 28 metres. Surface drives are central to that performance: by lifting the propellers to the waterline they cut drag and let the deep-V hull run fast and efficiently. The hull, drawn by Umberto Tagliavini, is built in Aramat and GRP or full Kevlar to keep weight low and stiffness high. The enclosed hard top adds negligible penalty to the numbers while widening the usable season, so owners keep the sprint performance of the open GTS with the ability to run fast in poor weather.
Giuseppe Bagnardi of BG Design gives the 90 HT a lean, muscular profile with a long foredeck, aggressive stem and the low-slung stance of a yacht built to go fast. The defining feature is the fixed hard top over the bridge deck, which extends the coupe lines aft and shelters the cockpit and helm. Large side glazing keeps the superstructure visually light despite the extra structure, and the aft deck steps down to a bathing platform at the stern. Deep bulwarks and clean metalwork underline the sporting intent. Next to the open 90 GTS, the HT reads as the more purposeful, all-weather expression of the same hull, and it carries the Otam signature of restraint over flash.
Below decks the 90 HT is offered in three, four or five cabin layouts, so the interior is set by the owner rather than fixed. A typical four cabin arrangement sleeps eight guests, with a full-beam owner’s cabin taking advantage of the six metre beam. Otam’s interiors favour clean, contemporary joinery and quality materials over decoration, in keeping with the yacht’s performance focus. The enclosed hard top brings a practical benefit inside too, sheltering the upper helm and lounge and making the bridge deck usable in a wider range of conditions. As a semi-custom build, finishes, cabin count and galley position are all specified during construction, giving each 90 HT a tailored feel.
The sheltered bridge deck is the 90 HT’s defining social space. Protected by the hard top, the cockpit carries a dining and lounge zone that stays usable in sun, wind or light rain, a real advantage over the fully open GTS. Forward, the main deck saloon flows out to the aft cockpit through wide glazing, and sunpads on the foredeck and at the stern give quieter spots to relax. The bathing platform opens the transom to the water for swimming and tender handling. For a fast sportsyacht the 90 HT offers a surprising spread of outdoor living, and the hard top means owners actually use those spaces across more of the year.
The 90 HT is a CE certified semi-custom build, priced new from around nine million euros before VAT in line with its open GTS sister. Ownership is defined by the Otam relationship: hull layup, cabin layout, engines and finish are all agreed with the yard, and build quality is a core part of the proposition. Surface drives and MTU power mean performance running costs, but the payoff is genuine 44 knot capability few rivals match at this length. As one of a small, hand-built range rather than a production model, the 90 HT offers individuality and engineering pedigree. For an owner who wants a fast Italian coupe with all-weather usability and a tailored interior, she is a compelling flagship choice.
